ASU vs. SU

A band get a DECENT sound and now they out did SU....

A college band is SUPPOSED to sound good... This is the they thing that is killing me.....lol Some of you ASU folks act like you got a new toy, when someone finally started correcting yall horrible sounds... The only thing they did was fix what was broken... SU was never broke, that why folk is surprised for ASU, and not as SURPRISED for SU... DUmmies and upper0crabs I swear...

From the little clips I heard.... SU is still noticably better. But keep up the good work... Alot of times good isn't good enough especially against a band like SU... :dude:
DAYMN YA'LL WILL NEVER ADMIT A BLOW OUT ANYWAY. :argue:

If you THINK yall blew SU out, why are you even arguing?

I know you know you are full of shat.....smh Is it that important to blow SU out? It takes more than you think and probably more than what ASU is willing to put out... :dude:

When one gets blown out, they know it.
When one blows someone out, they know it.
When there wasn't a distinct and clear victory, all know it.
So when someone doesn't admit that they were blown out, they only make themselves look crazy.
Even when your pride will not allow to judge your performance fairly, the crowd is the unquestionable closer. If they gave you big love, you kick butt. If they look at you and/or gave you hand claps, you were alright. If they genuinely booed you, you dropped the ball. That is not including the obvious times that there are some opposing former bandsmen hatin' on you and trying to turn the crowd against you.

So, there is nothing wrong when you get got. It happens from time to time, even when you are the best (See NE Patriots today; See Tyson in Japan; See Broncos in Superbowl against Cowboys; See Yankees against Red Soxs in 2004 playoffs). Bottom-line, it happens to the best of us from time to time. You admit, accept and move forward committed to never let it happen on your watch again. For deny it, only make you look crazy. you denial doesn't change reality. So, there should never be an argument. The crowd says it all. If they don't give you a decisive difference in support, don't claim you earned it.

Peace...

Dude, I WORKED on a college band staff, and just because a school leaves, more often than not, they are not running. You all view band battles in such a narrow tunnel, that you will never see it. But there are MANY factors that go into stuff like that.

Like the high school that performed after the game, the meal that needs to be eaten, and the bus ride back to Louisiana (since there were no hotels involved with this matchup). Think logically instead of with your 'band brain'. They practice JUST AS MUCH as your group does. So what makes yout think they will RUN from competition?

CO-signing.

I will put it like this, Bama St. and SU can get on here all day and go back and forth about who got da W., but I have gotten opinions from others not associated with either band and some said it was evenly matched and some said Bama St. took the W. Regardless, it seems like both bands did a great job. Im especially proud of my MMH's. Good Day. Oh yea what up Ben.

I got one thing to say

SNAP!! SNAP!!

I NEVER TOOK ANY CREDIT AWAY FROM SU. HELL I EVEN GAVE THEM CREDIT.....I KNOW SU IS GOOD......HELLL EVERYBODY BRINGS THERE A GAME WHEN THEY PLAY SU. I JUST FEEL LIKE THIS YEAR ASU TOOK THE W. AND I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE(SU OL AND PRESENT BAND MEMBERS) WILL FEEL DIFFERENT.

arranging a song takes a good amount of time if you want it done right...with the way SWAC rules are for the bands now if you don't get a chance to play in the 5th, your work is almost wasted.

....and with that my friend you are wrong.

You dont have to have a "5th" to showcase your band.

Anyhow.. after reviewing the clips and the game via tv i will say that SU sounded great...but i already knew that. Surprisingly bama st sound alot better then previous yrs.

As my fellow juke, psycho says, just b/c your band makes a come up from last your doesnt make your better then SU. Just enjoy your band FINALLY sounding like a college band and take the props and let it be.

On another note there are Plenty games that SU leaves early and TRUST its NEVER b/c we're scared. SOME of you pple need to get a grip on realility. Oh and finally who do i think took the W. SU not b/c im juke almuni but b/c its clear they were the better product that night. On and SU doesnt have a problem admitting a L when one is given.. IE famu 2000.

AND DOWN!

 I really enjoyed the game this weekend. Both bands were on point!!!!!!!!!! I must say, SU was bringing the heat  but then my MMH just turned that **** up...... I was like.... Halftime, ASU clearly took the W. SU gave nothing less than an excellent drill  and the dolls were great too!! I honestly expected more from SU but I really think some of the Jukes underestimated Bama st. this year. This Gulf Coast Classic will be one that will go down in history. Stands, I will say a tie with a lean more to Bama St. becase our low brass cleary out powered SU's. Trombones and tubas in particular. I think thats the edge we have cause the f-horns and trumpets for both was smoking. My stingettes, fine as alwayz.....keep up the good work. I was disappointed that SU left.... :bawling: but dammit, we sent a some good parting music as yall left........can I say..."Can't hyde love"     Shiiiiid. Much props to both schools.

ps.....haze your football coach and your tuba players....they don't match your other sections with power :shame:

That is a tripped out statement. I can't think of a bandsman that would.

That's not true. They might not stress it, but they might be like "I ain't even gon lie.. Y'all got us" But just to lie?? TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE

Notice, I have not said a thing because I know we were not blown out. BTW, was anyone expecting Dr. Greggs to stay around and wait for some HS band to perform before we blew a 5th? I am pretty sure if that band would not have been there, the 5th would have gone off as "expected".

Just the same, ASU, you did a fine job, but you did not blow SU out. BTW, when warranted, I have no problem taking and admitting to and "L".

Yeah man I know he's gooten even bigger now. He's 2 his b-day is Nov. 11 he'll be a big boy soon. Whats funny though "HE CHOPPIN" already. got a drum and all. You should see it thats some funny ish. I'll see ya in the gump

T.................T.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ebrow:

I am going to be honest about the SU/ASU halftime show. I don't go to either school so there is no need for me to take up for one or the other.
SU looked a MESS and SOUNDED a MESS. My mouth hit the floor when that one band member got in front of the band and did a solo and sounded soooooooo bootlegged. Not only did he try to rap he did a dance routine solo too, and if he was suppose to be dancing along with the band, I could not tell. I heard the crowd boo from the stands and I was booing right along with them. That mess may work in Baton Rouge, but it did not cut it in Alabama.

SU word of advice...DON'T DO THAT AGAIN.

ASU...GREAT SHOW

This is MAIN reason FEMA shouldn't have given your arse a new computer.....

Dumb people say the dumbest things....

That thumbs down is correct because that is exactly what SU got BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
You can use FEMA as an outlet for your anger that is fine, if you are a SU band member you should be mad, for that messy show.
