Is anything being done to allow the football champ to play for something beyond the SWAC title game???

When will the conference stop scheduling out of conference football games for member schools???

Is any consideration being given to returning to the format that allows all qualifying schools to play basketball tourney games at the tourney site???

Can you give us any insight on the Bama State investigation???
 



When does the conference plan to update/expand its website?

Are future plans to move to D-IA in football?

Are other cities being considered for the SCG with the low attendance in Birmingham?

Can serious thought be given to moving the baseball tourney back two weeks to prevent such a long latyoff for our champion? Can the confernce provide financial assistance to tourney teams to keep player on campus for this extra period

I never have known the conferance to schedule schools out of conferance games in any sport. This has always been the schools responsibilty to schedule their own games out of conferance. I know PV always have done their own out of conferance games.

I believe Robber is refering to the new mandate for football, that conference members play every team. Essentially the SWAC is scheduling two non-conference games for each conference member.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. But I disagree with the use of the term "essentially", because that's what they are doing. When you make a school play two games that don't count as conference games, you are scheduling their out of conference games.
 
Will a team that finsishes 8-3, 9-2 or 10-1 and second in their division be eligible for the playoffs?

What is the conference plans relating to public relations? This includes but is not limited to:

1. Publicizing the good athletes in all sports presently in college.

2. Publicizing the stars in the pros now. This includes athletes like Avery Johnson, Michael Strahan, and Steve McNair.

3. This includes educating people about the stars of the past like Willis Reed, Mel Blount, Ken Houston, Fred Newhouse, etc.

4. This includes publicizing SWAC sports in cities that have no SWAC like Dallas-Ft. Worth, Memphis, Atlanta where there are large numbers of SWAC graduates.
 
Is playing all of the SWAC teams the swac equalivant of profit sharing?
Will the swac.org site ever contain pics/highlights and current overall swac stats?

They had something like this back in tha days of tha Heritage Bowl. If the winner of tha SWAC, (besides SU, GRAM, and Alabama St because of late November Classics), was ranked high enough in tha 1-aa polls..... say tha top 16, then they had to go to tha playoff's while tha second place team went to tha Heritage Bowl.

If SU, GRAM, or Alabama ST. won tha SWAC they were not allowed to participate in tha playoff's because their respective Classics were played on tha same weekend the playoff's started. The only way tha a SWAC team would get in tha playoff's would be that another team besides SU, GRAM or Alabama ST was also ranked high enough in tha 1-aa pol's to get a invite ... thus sending tha second place team to tha playoff's instead of tha SWAC champs.

SU, GRAM and Alabama ST would not go, but any other team that was ranked high enough and got an invite would have to participate. This was the "trade off" that 1-aa gave tha swac to keep them in tha fold. They knew the BC Classic was not going anywhere....but they also wanted to keep tha SWAC in tha fold.
 
What is the SWAC doing to help the Officials to upgrade their skills.

Is there a Spring (Feb/Mar) & late Summer (Aug) Football camp for SWAC Officials?

Is there a physical conditioning program for Football Officials?

Are the Officials required to take a test everyday they are in camp?

Is there a method or means to rectify obvious errors in the SWAC?????

Is there a mandatory age of retirement for SWAC Football Officials. (In the SEC the mandatory retirement was lowered to 55)
