Two years have gone by since the last time I did this and it readily apparent to me that it is time that I share my vast knowledge with my SWAC brethren again. Since I am sooo knowledgeable, it?s incumbent upon me to share this knowledge with the rest of you. For those of you that are lost (thrilla), and those of you that just have general questions and are just not sure about yourselves (JR, 79), Im here to answer your questions about the SWAC, or tackle any situations in general.

So ask Get Ready, DEAN BIG BROTHA ALMIGHTEE, any questions that you want him to answer about the upcoming season or SWAC issues in general. If there are some personal issues that you need me to address(having problems with your mate), I will even address that for you, except Dr. Sweets.

Dtown, you are so lost until I don?t know if even I, DEAN BIG BROTHA ALMIGHTEE, can help you. But I will try. Let it not be said that I didn?t try to help the least of these.

Let me start by saying, this is the best QB in the country.

Dear Get Ready:

WHY IS IT that we always are told that JSU's recruits will come in making an impact in the SWAC as soon as the get there, but then we also told that a player has to wait 2-3 years to even come close to cracking the starting lineup (thanks, TP)????

WHY IS IT that when a team gets a new coach/OC/DC that their team is automatically going to be "garbage", but when JSU gets a new one...y'all are supposedly NOW going to bring all hell to the SWAC???

What must one do, as a university, to keep from being 'pimped' by the powers that be ? How did JSU get around it ?

I've come to accept the fact that since weaintonjsulevel, Cooper was gonna do his thing regardless of what we did. I'm looking to you for guidance on this one, oh wise one.

Will we need to be on suicide watch in Jackson if Kent gets severly injured?

Will you blame Hughes again for JSU not achieving what you think they should?

What will happen to mighty jSU when Alcorn tears that ass, since you riding Currie as the second best SWAC QB?

What excuses will you use after Southern takes care the director of laundry services and a PV reject?

Will jSU still be more talented than any team on earth after they can't get back to SCG IV ?

But you have to also take into consideration that this stuff is coming from Bean!

He's just tryin to take the heat off of himself because the Board pretty much holds the entire JSU Mafia responsible for HIS antics! :lol:


If anything...we hold JAG03 "responsible" for you. :)

Kinda like Obi Wan was supposed to be the mentor to young Annakin Skywalker...but we all know (well MOST of us) how THAT turned out! ;)

Well Ntelekt?..(A name very befitting of you , I might add)

When big time players come to JSU, they usually come with the understanding that they will ride the bench for a couple of years unless they are extremely talented and we have an immediate need at that position for the next football season. Rashard Anderson and Sylvester Morris (first round NFL draft picks) rode the bench or were back up for 2-3 years. They simply had better players in front of them and there are only 11 positions available on the field at a time.

Your second question is a great one also. JSU is going to dominate the SWAC this year because we have improved our defense 100%. We have always had the talent to field the best defense in the SWAC, we just didn?t have common sense defensive coaching. We now have a coach that is utilizing the almost endless pit of talent on defense by changing up the scheme and putting the right players at the right position. The other teams already seemingly had DCs with common sense, except 0-10, but didn?t have the talent to stop us. We have now put the 2 together, coaching and talent. No matter how good of a coach you are, you still have to have players.

Was it true that K"int" stop watching opponent's game film in the middle of the season last year? Wasn't this the reason for a rash of interceptions in the latter part of the season?

Also, I was appalled with my last visit to Jackson. It seems like all the campus women resemble WNBA players (but they don't play basketball). Why is that?

Does K"int" stand a chance again against Santino "Hollywood" Hall in the 2003 season. Both will be seniors and vying for the coveted SWAC Player of the Year Crown. Personally, I think the three interceptions Kent throws to Santino will place "Hollywood" as the All-Time SWAC interceptions leader. I mean, Kent and Taylor got Santino started off on the right foot with three gifts his freshman year.

Im not sure that JSU escaped being pimp by Mr. Whitefolks. Usually our schools are in the precarious position of taking what we can get, or the getting the best deal possible. Im still pissed about the USM deal?.but win and show support and you can bring more to the bargaining table.

Ive been telling your guys for years that Cooper always thought he was bigger than A&M. In my opinion, he wouldn?t let you be successful unless he felt he was the direct reason yall won. Hence, you get onside kicks and double reverse pass backs when things are going pretty well for you already. He would just have to have someone say, ?what a great call by Cooper.? Cooper had the ability to bring talent to A&M, but he never had a strategy whatsoever. Just be glad the Program Destroyer is somebody elses problem now.

My premature friend?

You guys have been praying for Kent to get injured for a while now. That?s kinda disturbing to me cause I don?t want to play SU without your best on the field. Its seems as though you know you cant beat Kent. I hope it doesn?t happen, but Im sure we will survive if he does. During the B&W game, people that didn?t know were asking me, which one of the QBs is Kent? They were asking that question because the back up looks very good. All he needs is a little more game experience that Im sure he will pick up during our blowouts of AT&T, SU and Valley. Flen would start for SU, I assure you of that.

Currie is the 2nd best starting QB in the SWAC. Are you saying that he is not? Who is better other than Kent? What is your basis for that? Look at his stats, look at his experience. As far as Alcorn beating JSU, maybe, maybe not. They would have to have a drastic improvement in defense for that to happen. With our defensive improvements, I just don?t see it.

For your third question, you couldn?t beat the jock washer in a rebuilding year. You couldn?t beat him at home when his Freshman QB was throwing the ball over the people on the bench. You couldn?t beat him with a SWAC championship team, so what makes you think you are going to beat him this year with a good Oline, and a defense. You couldn?t beat him in the rain when the wet field equalized the talent. You couldn?t beat him in Jackson when the refs gave you every call under the sun. You couldn?t beat him then, and guess what?..Memo to SU fans?.you are in a rebuilding year. As far as the PV reject goes, I like him. Im impressed. So call him what you want.

As far as getting back to the SCG, what has been your excuse for the past 2 years. You had the same team that went to the first one. The year after the SCG, your team went 6-5 with the same team. What does that say about your coaching? Nevermind?.it was an even year.

Kent may have had a mind of his own last year. Did he stop watching film, maybe. But he wont have the luxury of making that mistake this year. His backup is more than adequate.

I don?t know what campus you were on. All the reports I got were very positive. Maybe you saw the Rebecca Lobos cause you had her on the brain. Isnt he about to be a member of the Comets. Remember, these women aint interested in you anyway. Move Oooova.

I really hope we don?t play TSU next year. Wait I take that back. I need a trip to Houston. Yall gots to take a brotha to the spot man. We will talk about it later. Oh yeah, I don?t talk about the game afterwards, so I wont rub it in?.especially if you take a brotha to the right spot.

2. The refs give SU every call under the sun -- man what game you were watching. SU was penalized 14 times for over 100 something yards. We all know got the break that counted in that game. Be thankful.

3. Where do you get this rebuilding? Go back and read some of JR posts on what SU returning.

Have there been any discussions among the JSU faithful as to a replacement for JW?

Names some coaches you have high regards for and you feel can take JSU to level you think they should be?
