Argument over Alabama, Auburn rivalry ends with man shot





gambling is prevalent when it comes Alabama Auburn games all season..all kinds of bets in this state going on.

I don't know any other state where in 95% of kindegarten & Pre K your asked to pick a school when the Iron Bowl comes around.
 
I don't understand the love that Black folks in Alabama show for these two schools that just recently allowed them to attend.

That Bama and Auburn crap is the main reason I am glad I don't live in the state of Alabama anymore (and I graduated from BAMA). Hell, it got on my nerves when I was in college.

Money or no money, the Bama Black love for these two schools is unreal. I guess Bama and Auburn is the closest two things in Alabama as a professional franchise.

It's not just kindergarten and Pre K, in the Madison County area, that crap is in the other schools as well.

As for the love for these schools from non alumns, my ex went to Athens State and is crazy about Bama. I'm just starting to get my daughter out of that mindset.
 
What kills me is that you have black folks that put down HBCUs as being useless. I bullshit on here about other HBCUs but when I hear somebody bashing ANY HBCU I get damn near in their grill especially if they are black. I am a firm believer that if Grambling figures out how to raise $2 million we should at least help another HBCU raise $1 million. My wife purchased my son a LSU wrist ban and I got unglued. LITERALLY.

It’s like that in every Southern state, TBH...the FSU, Miami, UF Love is ridiculous. Bama fans on the other hand, are on another level...I dated two women who were Bama fans...both went to HBCUs(one at FAMU and one went to Stillman)....GARBAGE

I’m an FSU fan just because I grew up in Tallahassee during the Charlie Ward days, but I don’t go out and buy FSU gear and put their flags on my car...only FAMU flags go on the car.
 
I hate the U of alabama. When the tornadoes struck tuscaloosa, I rooted for the tornadoes. I wanted bama to have to play in the parking lot.
 
Everybody gives the U of Alabama hell for something the Governor did 50+ years ago, but still support white supremacist businesses and entities.

If you still support an NFL team with a racist owner, or have money and assets are in a white bank, or refuse to patron black businesses because they dont lick your booty or give you shit for free, you don't have room to point the finger at PWI football fans.

You're so right about the gambling aspect being a part of it! Man they play those numbers and point spreads that I never took the time to try to understand. I once saw this guy in the lab copying about 50 sheets of one of those game betting sheets that they draw up and make bets on before a game. Other elements involved in the black community is SWAG. Alabama gives them a sense of heightened self esteem especially in the poorer areas. Then there is just the old plain and simple LOVE!

And it’s not black/white... go to Troy, UAB, JAX State , SOUTH Alabama and i PROMISE you that you will see more Auburn and Bama paro than the respective schools. Admins hate it but it’s nothing they can do about it .
