A creamer would have worked better than sugar. I am a non-dairy creamer person. Also, all coffee is not bitter. That's what kept me away from coffee too, was a time I tried it in high school. I played baseball and the early part of the season in Chicago is very cold. We were at a game and they ran out of hot chocolate and gave us coffee to warm up with. It tasted so bitter and I couldn't get that taste out of my mouth. Ever since then I was not a fan of coffee. People use to tell me to add sugar, but I couldn't add enough for me to like it.

That was a way to discourage you from wanting to drink coffee which is supposedly a stimulant. That was a disservice and played into the stigma associated with having dark skin. I see it on this site every once in a while. Also, when I was a kid growing up in Alabama, we were told by adults not to drink coffee, because coffee made you black (dark skinned). LOL!!!LOL!!! Can yall believe that? LOL!!! I know it is silly, but that is what they told us. LOL!! I had forgotten all about that. LOL!!

LOL!! Yes, I know. But in this day and time it sounds silly. LOL!!! But we knew what they were doing.
Herbert, that is a whole nother thread.
Not really. I heard the same thing about a month ago. My response was, "Is that a bad thing"? A grown ass woman uttered that stupidity.LOL!! Yes, I know. But in this day and time it sounds silly. LOL!!! But we knew what they were doing.

I do two scoops of instanr coffee, 8oz unsweetened almond milk and a scoop of vanilla protein everyday
I am not a fan of instant although it has been a while since I had any.I had instant coffee in Jamaica a year or two ago for the first time and it was pretty good. Unfortunately, I didn't take note of the brand. I have been putting off to try it again at home and just haven't gotten around to it. I'm going to definitely by a small jar soon and try it again. I have one of the hot/cold bottled water coolers so it shouldn't take me but a hot second to mix it up.

I don't normally buy coffee away from home or the office unless I am getting drive thru breakfast sandwiches (which I have cut wayyyyyyyy back on). Never do Starbucks or anything like that.I haven't had instant enough times to know for sure if I am. That is why I will probably buy it in a very small quantity first. I like things PDT in the morning though and my go-to is pods. Normally somewhere in the range of 72-100 per purchase. I really have this down to a science. A box of 500 styrofoam cups per purchase (don't like creating add'l things to wash if don't have to); 500-100 stirrers; 1 non-dairy creamer in my makeshift break room and one in the pantry to be replaced when transferred to my breakroom; into the trash everything goes after I'm finished....LOL I used to spend a ton of money buying coffee outside of my home at stores/restaurants but not any longer and really save a nice piece of change doing it this way.

I still do the pot. It's much more economical that way. The other thing I do is look at the price per pod. Sometimes, I make the decision based on price and brand. Since I buy in large bulks, consideration is taken on the brand because I have to like what I'm drinking. The range I try to go for is around 40-60 cents per pod ("the cheaper the better").
