Reading twitter, I see Alabama St and MVSU aren't going to be eligible in football and also Uapb and some others in basketball.

NCAA APR again hits schools with lesser resources

Eighteen Division I teams will miss the postseason, and another 18 in men's basketball and nine other college sports will trade practice time for remedial classroom sessions under NCAA academic progress reports released Tuesday.

Poor Academic Progress Rate scores mean postseason bans in the 2013-14 academic year for teams from 10 schools: Alabama State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Florida A&M, Florida International, Grambling State, Mississippi Valley State, New Orleans, Norfolk State, Savannah State and Southern. That compares to 15 teams ineligible for the 2012-13 postseason.

Five teams received Level 3 APR penalties, which can include financial aid reductions and multi-year postseason bans: the men's basketball teams at Chicago State, Grambling, Mississippi Valley and Louisiana-Monroe and Chicago State's women's volleyball team.

Most of the penalized schools have significantly more limited resources than top NCAA programs, including 11 historically black schools.

I thought things were turning around at Bama State. Basketball, football AND baseball? Sounds a little farfetched to me that the three major sports would be affected by APR.

Does this mean that Bama State isn't eligible for the SCG?

My stance aint changed at all. My point then (and it remains the same now) is the SCG is a postseason game. Yall were saying it is not. Has your stance changed?

So if it doesn't matter in football, why are you asking for a waiver? Heck, just take your medicine and wait til next year.

I'm trying to figure out how Valley and AAMU have APR issues when only a couple years ago, their scores were the highest.

You know what I meant....you as in Bama State. What if Bama State is banned from the SCG because of the APR scores?
If it is, I have no sympathy.
The old folks don't say, "the chickens done come home to roost" for nothin.

we dont have any APR issues... I see mens golf is level one... other than that we ok... our players graduate.

Wasn't TxSU facing a ban as well for 2 years? Bama State's football program though. Wow! I didn't expect that one but if you look at Morehead's BB roster you will see 3 players from MVSU who transferred there although the players that graduate won't be held against the former school.

Messed up for some of ya'll but I'm just glad to look at this list and not see JSU in any negative category.
