He's acting like HE wasn't the one arguing that it was not a postseason game even after I posted the NCAA rule that specifically called out conference championship games as "postseason" games. LOL

If you remember, Kenn (who was on our side) contacted the NCAA about banning us and the NCAA response was that they didn't ban anyone from conference tournaments. They ban is only for NCAA sanctioned tournaments that name a NCAA national champ. The SWAC is not even required to ban teams from the bball tourney. That is the SWACs choice. It just makes sense to ban them from that because it affects our auto bid into the post season.

In other words, this ban is ONLY for tournaments where the eventual winner will be named National Champion... i.e. NCAA bball, NIT, baseball playoffs, FCS playoffs, etc...

The NCAA just does not want these low APR schools in their championship tournaments.

I correct myself. I wholeheartedly disagree with you and it was clearly pointed out back then that you were wrong and are still wrong.

You were wrong then and you are wrong now. The rule was CLEARLY explained. The NCAA don't give a fugg about the SWAC baseball tourney, SWAC basketball tourney, or SCG. It only bans teams from the NCAA tourney. For example, if Duke had bball APR ban. They could STILL go to the ACC tourney. It's just that if they win, they can't go to the field of 68. BUT that won't hurt a conference like the ACC since we get SEVERAL bids.

You all are just so slow that you don't even understand what the ban is all about. The NCAA is banning teams from NCAA post-season tournaments. The SWAC is TAKING IT UPON THEMSELVES banning teams from conference tournaments which is why I suppose the reg season bball champs are not being penalized since that is not determined by a tournament.

They have to ban them from Basketball TP, because our conference gets an auto bid to the NCAA tourney based on who wins the Tourney. So if you are ineligible for the NCAA tourney and mess around and win the SWAC bb tourney because our dumb arse let you play in it. Then we would get no team invited to the big dance.

TP, those sports you name have auto qualifiers for NCAA post season games except for football. They don't care about what we do football wise because we don't participate in the playoffs by having the SCG. But in basketball and baseball, our winner gets an auto bid to the post season. So hell yeah they care if we let NCAA ineligible teams participate. What happens if one of those teams win? You think if we let TxSU go to the SWAC basketball tourney last year and they won, that they would have gotten a invite to March Madness. We would have been the laughing stock of the NCAA. LOL.

I understand that cuz.. LOL ..and it does make sense ban in baseball, basketball, etc... But that is not my point. My point is that the COPs banned teams from the SWAC tourney.. not the NCAA. We could send all 10 teams to the bball tourney if we wanted even if 4 of them are on APR bans from the NCAA and the NCAA would not complain. They just would not let us send the winner.

There is not post-season tourney for the SCG winner to go to so that is not affecting the NCAA ban at all.

Who cares? If we put those teams in, that is on us to look like fools. The NCAA won't care. They would just slide another team into our spot.

The NCAA has governance over EVERYTHING members do. We would not have a championship game without them allowing it. We can't play a 12 game regular season without them allowing it. We can't play before Labor Day weekend without them allowing it. Some schools have spring practice bans and have to play less regular season games because of NCAA penalties.

THEY have the ultimate decision on who is eligible.
