I'm laughing. I'm laughing at su, their administration, the SWAC, and the commissioner. I'm in tears over here.
Shit!!!!!!! I'm crying now. The laughter has turned to tears.NO.. we are NOT gonna laugh at them.. :snicker:
J, isht should have been rectified 2-3 years ago. Worm continue to recruit those dumb players, your leaders continue to promote illiteracy, and the Commissioner continue to advocate this foolishness by letting you guys play in these SWAC post-season games that can decide the outcome of who plays in the NCAA post-season.
That is where "ACCOUNTABILITY" comes into play. You as a coach now must look at a Player's Academic record and not strictly his gamefilm.
In order for the SWAC and other HBCUs to contend with APR, we must go by the Ivy League Method.
Beans, I agree with you. However, Worm's players aren't totally on the hook for this. The years that the data was taken from was from the end of the "unusable data" period.
Illiteracy? C'mon bruh. They aren't promoting illiteracy. The admins are promoting incompetence, which is deadlier than illiteracy.
Accountability? So the "student-athlete" shouldn't be held accountable for doing their coursework. A lot of APR problems are based on incompetence in the athletic department/academic side of a university. However, students still have to go to class.
APR is all about accountability. That's why schools are getting hammered by it.

Also, it ain't my fault Duer got Southern in the postseason. Don't look at me. I'm not a president of one of the 10 member schools.it.
Think the SWAC will address apr postseason ban soon meaning no postseason at all - definitely hoops

At what point do the presidents get blamed for this?
Ok J, let's take a reasonable look at this. It's year 8. APR refreshes every 4 years. Over 80-90% of your sports is banned. Year 8, J. Year 8 and over 80% of your school's sports are banned from post season. It's not just the "administration". It has to be part of the student/athletes fault too. The NCAA asked for the faulty paperwork for football, but now you have 80% of your overall teams banned. 80%. J, that's an epidemic.
Here we go with this shit again.SU has the least subsidized HBCU athletic program but is banned the most out of all DI programs including the SEVERAL HUNDRED DI programs that subsidize their athletics anywhere between 75% to 92% with PUBLIC FUNDS. It seems like the NCAA is barking up the wrong tree when it comes to schools using PUBLIC FUNDS for athletics instead of academics. At least SU academic programs are still rising in a state going through a serious budget crisis.
I guess the NCAA just turns a blind eye to this shit. Look how much these DI schools subsidize their athletics.

I remember going thru our humiliation a few years back. Keep your head up SU.
I'm being resonable Beans. What's the four-year for APR this time ... 2011-2015? The tail end of the NCAA's "unsuable data" was like 2012-2013. So basically half of that time was with unsuable data. We're still getting hammered for the tail end of the LaFleur stuff.
I'm not splitting hairs with you on this. This falls on administration, going from the fools that were running it with LaFleur until now....and yes, it's epidemic.
Damn they should just call this the SWAC & MEAC penalty list.
Will the men's basketball team be eligible?Southern will still be able to play in the football championship game and other conference tournaments, since that precedent has already been established. However, no Celebration Bowl, NCAA Tournaments/NITs, etc.
