Anybody watch WWE's Vince McMahnncrazy arse Monday Night.

Yep......................Each show has it's champion.
Bobby Lashley was the Champion of ECW.

2811350

He got drafted to RAW and was stripped of the ECW title.

WOW...so this is not new. This was a GOOD idea though!! This way, you can better keep up with the wrestlers and keep the match-ups good. With 60 wrestlers all of WWE, I was confused as hell. I think that is one reason I stopped watching. I could not keep up. If you ain't HHH, Steve Austin, Hogan, Flair, Lex, ect...I don't know you. Too many new cats came on the scene.

They really needed to shuffle talent after the Undertaker and my boy Ken Kennedy both are on the shelf with tricpes/biceps tears.....

Y'all wouldn't believe this, but someone called my desk yesterday and left a message asking if authorities were really looking into what happend to Vince. I couldn't believe it, so i called the person and they were all hysterical and stuff....wild man

I'm glad the Bookerman is back on Raw, but Smackdown's the better show when it comes to in-ring action. But JBL was clowning hard on color commentary all night on Monday.

And still, Ric Flair probably gets the biggest cheers when he comes out.

:topic: Going to cop the Ladder Matches DVD today. Haven't seen the families DVD in some stores around here, so I guess it comes out later.

I am thinkin about getting that 4-Horseman DVD. I was disappointed in the Flair DVD though. I have a better Flair collection at my mom's house.

Rick will be in Full OLD-SCHOOL Robe tonight on Smackdown.
He got traded from Raw Monday night.

Rick is so old school, he is the only wrestler that still comes out in a different TAILORED ROBES every night.:goof:

TP...I got the Horsemen DVD..It's worth the money just for the 2-hour, 30-minute documentary part..interviews with Naitch, Double A, Tully, Barry Windham, JJ Dillon, Chris Benoit, Dusty Rhodes, Steamboat...aww man...

This one thread has cleared up the entire current wrestling scene for me because I had no clue any more.

I stopped watching before it even became the WWE. When they got to the point that EVERY match was interrupted by somebody running out of the locker room and stomping some dude down I quit watching. They started having whole segments where a cat would come out to the ring and just talk shat and then go back....they were wasting my time at that point. I wanted a return of the great ole matches like Hogan vs Andre the Giant and Randy Savage vs Ultimate Warrior lol.

Can you tell us what stations and what night's each of these come on?

Dude, you must be a youngin...:lmao:

Those are not great matchups...better than what we have today but back in the day EVERY match was interupted by the "bad side". See that is part of the problem. There is not real "good" side and "bad" side anymore. :( Poor Dugan, Bill Watts, Steve Williams, and especially JYD used to get jumped ALL THE DAYUM TIME!! Dugan's ribs used to stay taped up from so many spashes ....LOL Gen. Skandar Akbar was no joke. If he had it in for you, yo azz was grazz. Is that man still alive?

Well, I watched Raw tonight. I admit it had me intrigued. Still, I'm one of those old school/kayfabe wrestling who is still bitter at Vince for making a monopoly on the business. I respect his decision to do what he did in eliminating all of the competition but still....there is an empty void for those of us growing up that do not care for the WWE/WWF style of wrestling. I try to watch TNA, there is potential but something is missing. That ECW brand that they are trying to promote is absolutely nothing what ECW used to be. Anyone that want to know the previous should go to youtube and check ECW around 95-97. In fact, I enjoy watching old school wrestling on you tube more than trying to follow what's going on now. I guess to sum what I'm trying to say, I wish there was more out there for the wrestling fan to enjoy besides WWE and TNA.

By the way, I thought I'd post a classic ECW interview from 1996 with the Gangstas (New Jack and Mustafa)

Raw...............Monday night's at 8pm CENTRAL..........USA Network.
ECW..............Tuesday night's at 9pm CENTRAL...........Sci-Fi network.
Smackdown............Friday nights at 7pm CENTRAL.............FOX.......in Jackson that Channel 34.

Say Bulldog....

you ever watched Raven's promos from ECW or Mick Foley's "Anti-Hardcore" promos from 95-97...

People don't realize the impact of the old ECW on the rest of rasslin in the US...

Paul Heyman couldn't do finances, but he could book his arse off and bring talent in. He's responsible for bringing Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guererro, Dean Malenko, Rey Mysterio Jr., Psicosis, Juventud Gurerra and countless others into the US and giving them the platform to perform. Rob Van Dam became a major star in the business in ECW...He also helped Steve Austin hone his interview skills. Go on YouTube and watch those Steve Austin promos from his ECW stint...their very simliar to his Stone Cold Steve Austin promos from now.

WWE is simply just paying Paul Heyman to keep a desk job so that he won't go work for Ring of Honor or TNA. Just like in divorce...it's cheap to keep.

speaking of RVD, he's doing like Christian Cage did and letting his contract simply lapse at the end of the month. Christian let his WWE contract lapse and immediately went to TNA without the customary 90-day no-compete clause. I suspect RVD will do the same.

I'm more partial to TNA's in-ring product than WWE's. They have some guys there that can have great matches, and they have more guys on their roster that can give a good match than WWE has. They have too much talent on the roster and too little time to sufficiently get them over on TV.

They cut out all that "20 members in one Group" stuff.

It's back to story lines between 2 or 3 wrestlers.
The only time gang beatdowns happen now is when one show invades the other.

Last Invasion was Smackdowns MVP invading RAW to whip Randy Ortons arse for something that happened at a PPV.

The new ROCK..............MVP.

The "Ledgend Killer" has been psycotic every since.

Say Stag... MVP's back story is a good human interest story. Dude's from Miami..and was incarcerated. one of the prison guards said he looked like he could be a wrestler..so he started bringing him tapes of Benoit, Guererro and Malenko.

I read it here http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007705050318

I knew he was from Miami but I didn't know all that.
That prison guard taught him well in the ring.
He's good as he!!...................I thought he had wrestled in college or something.

The other thing MVP understood about wrestling is you gotta either make them CHEER WILDLY or BOO YOU OUT THE ARENA.
That's the only way to be a star in wrestling.............They either love you or hate you.

His "self-absorbed" concept along with the story line of him being the highest free agent signing assured that.
3 or 4 more years and he's gonna pass what ROCK did.

I liked the matches he had with Benoit. He got the rub from Benoit and now he's good to go. But knowing WWE like I do, they're going to either C___ him up like they did Shelton Benjamin (remember Thea Vidale as Shelton's mama) or some BS angle and have him turn face by someone like Edge "revealing" his "checkered past."

Sort've like how the did when Booker T challenged Allah/Triple H McMahon for the title a few years back. Then have Allah/Triple H McMahon cut promos saying that Booker was inferior and didn't have what it takes (racial undertones).
He needs to get rid of that power ranger body suit...man I don't like it that he don't do the BALLLLLLLLLLIN' elbow drop no more...
He had the crowd with that.

I would watch ECW on SportSouth during that time. When WCW had that NWO angle that put them above the WWF in ratings, the WWF responding with the Attitude Era. The writers responsible for the WWF angles during that time even admit that ECW was their sole influence. Of course ECW was influenced by overseas promotions such as FMW in Japan and the Mexican promotions such as AAA.

Yeah, he's still alive. If you watched last night's show, you may have seen him. I believe he's the Sheik.
