RimRockers Sign Assistant Coach

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., August 4-The Arkansas RimRockers named Andy Stoglin as assistant coach for the 2005-06 season. Stoglin joins the RimRockers in their inaugural season of the NBA's Development League after serving as General Manager and Head Coach of the World Basketball Association's Mississippi Hardhats. During the 2004-05 season, Stoglin coached the Mississippi Stingers of the American Basketball Association. The Stingers went 26-4 under Stoglin, (1-3 against the RimRockers), and won the East Division before losing in the Final Four of the ABA Championships to the RimRockers

Prior to his professional coaching career, Stoglin spent 14 seasons as Head Coach at Jackson State University. He led JSU to six Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships, (three conference and three tournament titles), and four postseason appearances, (three NCAA's and one NIT). He was named SWAC Coach of the Year three times (1991, 1993 and 1996). While at JSU, Stoglin helped to develop three NBA players, including Lindsey Hunter, a lottery pick by the Detroit Pistons in the 1993 NBA Draft.
