LaKisha Jones (Midnight Train to Georgia--Power, Control and strength in her voice)
Melinda DooLittle (Funny Valentine)
Jordin Sparks (17 years old...she needs a power house song)
Stephanie Edwards (Dangerously in Love---Lil Beyonce')

I missed most of it tonite, but from what I saw the women weren't as good as they were last week. From the clips I liked Lakisha and I like Ms. Doolittle. Stephanie was good too.

LaKisha needed a longer skirt....Otherwise her hair and makeup were on point. I like the style of dress she had last week. She looked elegant and it accented her shape!
 
Stephanie is a good performer however, lacked voice control.......
could have done better.....

They have the kids sing all of these ancient songs that no one listens to anymore, yet have them record teeny pop songs once they make it. Why not have them sing the same songs that they will potentially be recording??? American Idol truly starts once the show is over....i.e. J Hud. She's an American Idol. Who cares if Kelly Pickler can sing Unforgettable??? LOL
 



I don't know all of the girls by name yet but I like all of them except two...the pretty one that's from NJ (Antonella) and I can't recall the other one (either Haley or Sabrina).

Of the guys, the judges are right. Only about 3-4 are good. The girls are far better. Of the guys, I only like Blake, Chris (both of them), and Sundance Head (a little but needs a little more controlled power in his voice). Sanjaya is a :read: and his azz can't sing. How did he make it to the top 24??

I think the little Chris and Blake do. You also have to remember that these people have to come into their own as the weeks go by. I recall thinking that Jennifer Hudson sucked until about a week before she got the boot. The same with Kimberly Locke. That girl can blow but I think she was a bit timid at first. The big Chris has the best voice but he looks like he been beat with a ugly stick. Sundance would no great in a pop-rock band. The other guys have no niche at this point.
 
There is this internet movement called VOTEFORTHEWORST. They encourage people to vote for the worst contestant. That way, the good singers usually end up going home. The show's integrity is being affected. I got this email today...

Everyone, Sundance is in MAJOR trouble on DialIdol after his horrific performance of "Jeremy". Make sure to vote for him all night. 1-866-IDOLS-03. If we don't all pull together, he's going home. I knew this show was a sham from all sides. :(

This not new. Some people who never made it in to audition for the judges and THINK they can sing started this. They claim they do it becasue it is wrong to let "crazy" people audition while people who can really sing get turned away. I think it really caught on the year of the red-head boy and some people think that the winner the last two years is due to this----Carrie over Bo and the gray haired dude over the brunette.
