Amassing Wealth

I would say learn all you can about real estate and cautiously get involved in it and in the stock market.Rental property is a great way to amass wealth.

What's the best way to build wealth in your opinion?

Investments and life insurance policies.

Most Wealth is inherited. Pass it on to your descendents.

Having a plan and working that plan. I think the problem is we aren't honest with ourselves. The problem is many of us are just lazy and comfortable. Building wealth takes work and giving up leisure time and sacrificing the things we love. Folks like Oprah who made it to the top from the bottom work hard and long to get there. They don't take off days in the beginning they work around the clock to get established. They wake up before the sunrises with a plan and work that plan until the sunsets and many times until a new day begins. Are you willing to do that?

Yep. Actually I am.

I just took a look at all the guys I know in this area who I hang around often in that millionaire status and what I found is they don't procrastinate and they work long hours. I feel procrastination has killed more dreams and business adventures in life then anything.

That or luck. The only thing is that I am not as cuthroat as some of the people I know. that will probably always place some sort of ceiling on my career/earnings. I just don't like the drama that comes with it. I don't mind playing the game but I see some cats who are just ruthless.

I feel you. I learned that along time ago back in my 20's. One of the older cats basically broke it down for me that majority of the people who are successful who don't grow up in money are cut throat and screwed someone to get there. Many are ruthless and will burn you in a heartbeat. Although many who grew up in money are cut throat too, they just aren't as bad as folks hungry to get to that level.

I like to read a lot of books by Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu. According to him, 3 simple ways a person can amass a lot of financial wealth are through:

1. Being a good salesman

2. Real Estate Investing

or

3. Investing in stock

I definitely believe in this. Only thing, I believe that when you give, when you reap, it doesn't always necessarily return in monetary forms, but that's for another discussion in another forum.
Tithes and offerings.
You'll always have if you always give.

I see people all the time braggin' about having thousands of followers on twitter, facebook, instagram etc etc
All that mundane talking about NOTHING :shame:

To me you are stupid if you got all these people following you and you're not selling then ANYTHING!!

$1 or $2 x all your "followers" per month! C'MON Son!!!! stop talkin' about all that BS stuff and sell them sheep something!!!! :shame:

I'd bet the profits could beat any rent house or stock out there

you could even set up an online store and rep it on all those, long hours you waste on ya favorite sites atleast get paid from thing you're always on.

I read this about millionaires:

Supposedly, there are now over 8 million “millionaires” living in the united states, about 7% of Americans.

* 80% are college grads
* 80% earned their wealth, only 20% inherited it
* 90% first hit millionaire status through real estate (depending on which article you believe)

* 80% still work & the other 20% are retired
* Self made millionaires file bankruptcy 3.5 times in their lives on average, so don't give up!
* 50% are self employed

* According to many high net worth people, the next big thing to make middle class folks wealthy are network marketing businesses (what some think are pyramids schemes). Suppossedly billionaire NFL team owner Bud Adams is in several network marketing companies.

And probably ALL self made millionaires teach their kids about wealth.
