ALCORN vs SU

The SWAC pic of the week shows Alcorn being favorite to win over SU 31 to 14.
I think the game will be won in the trenches which favors SU on a wet field.
the offensive and defensive lines will make the difference.

But Alcorn's defense is rated a lot higher than SU which is why I gave the Braves the edge. If it were a nice day I think I would give SU the edge in a shootout

SU is going to win. SUs defense and offense and special teams are ALL better than Alcorn's... and if you hear TP say something good about SU.....

In the rain...SU only has Tillery and Crockett to Pound The Rock.

Alcorn has Baker, Ragsdale, Gibbs, and other RBs as well to pound the rock. Alcorn has the depth at the RB position.

And.....Hopson always has Alcorn ready after a loss.

Alcorn has Fred Kaiss as an OC tho.... SU has bad coaching but Kaiss is the worst among the coordinators...

Special Teams and Turnovers will be a major factor. Each team's FG kicker will have to step up. Also, SU has fumbled punt returns in each of the last 2 games AND SU has turned the ball over in the redzone the last 2 games.

You forgot about Howard, Shorts, West, and Edwards for SU.

I got SU simply because they need to win more than Alcorn and they are tired of losing to them. If su slings the ball all around the field, Alcorn won't have the fire power to match. Make Alcorn throw!

SU's punt/FG/kick game is not as strong as it should be, imho. How many blocks has SU endured this season?

#6 won't be back there at all, this week. The one with Willie, he looked up at the open field, and missed the ball. That shat ain't happening again.

Alcorn's Ace in the Hole though is their VERY underrated defense.

Your neighbors in North Louisiana can attest how easy it was to move the football on Alcorn's Defense. I guess to some, stats tell the whole story.

What does 2014 have to do w/ 2015? ::confused smiley:: This season, HOW MANY PUNTS/KICKS/FGs has SU had blocked?
Our specials teams is not as bad as u think it is. Every time since Hopson has been the coach at Alcorn since 2012 we've had atleast two to three blocks on them plus a punt or kick return against them Every year!! So history does have something to do with this matchup. Plus if it wet during the game i like our o line and d line in this matchup.
