Still hurt from when #44 hit him low. Hope he's back vs. SEMO. Our offense hasn't been good with him, it's been horrible without him. Defense scored the only TD vs. TTU and had 2 vs. FAMU.

You will see how legitimate we are tomorrow night. I think the score was 49-30 last year if my memory serves me right. Gibbs was responsible for all 4 turnovers. He grew up after that game and we didn't lose again until that Bama A&M fiasco at the end. This year Gibbs is looking over his shoulder because his backup is more than capable of running the offense and has a better arm. We have 4 legitimate running backs, multiple receivers, seasoned secondary, head hunting linebackers,and an O-line that has probably given up 2 sacks thus far. See ya there, no excuses.:smash:

Sounds pretty on paper in your wording, but if yall were battle tested only by playing So. Miss., who I definitely have reservations about being a legitimate so-called big team, then your thought process is totally misguided. :nod:

Dude, ya'll are NOT in the plus category with turnovers.... You are -3 in turnovers. BAMA State is +7. You all better correct a whole lot more than Gibbs.....

It's supposed to be around 90 again today here and breezy. The forecast calls for the rain to roll through approximately around midnight so hopefully they can get it in.

Those pop up showers are projected all day. Looks like I'm gone be coaching Soccer tonight. I just knew that rain was coming in. I'm recording it so I'll just watch afterwards...

I find it ironic that Alabama State/Alcorn game score is almost similar to the UAPB/Alabama State game.


Serious questions:


Hornets alum, what do you think should have been done to turn the game around to Alabama State's advantage? Do you all see this as a wake up call or a sign of what's to come?

Should have got more players involved in the offense besides Cyrus and #10 Bell. Kaiss should have used Khalid Thomas this game but didn't for some odd reason. We were still in the game even after the first half. I thought Alcorn was the better team last night but the game should have been closer and the coaching staff was unable to adjust to give us a chance.
