Alcorn To Play In 2016 SWAC-MEAC Challenge.

The day Alcorn announced they would be going I knew the MEAC would send BCU, NCCU or SCSU, they are in it to win it not like the SWAC trying to give all ten schools a chance to play.

I noticed that the Citrus Bowl does not have the game listed on their website, they have Florida State vs Mississippi on Sept. 5th but nothing for Sept. 4th......????????????????

I think it really depends on the schools wanting to go. For a while BCU and FAMU refused to play in it.

NOTTTT!!!

Unlike a lot of Jacksonians, I wish Alcorn the best but I don't see them winning the EAST ever again.. Yes, I said ever... lol Maybe in 20 years.
As for this game. I think we always get to play them when a team gets weak. Grambling would have ran the MEAC off the field in 2005, but in 2006, they were not as good. The game goes for AlaState. The 2004 Alabama State team would have ran over any MEAC team. The 2005 team was only a shell of that one. PV played BCU after they started to suk. Hopefully Alcorn is not too bad of a team because BCU is not skipping a beat since Jenkins left. ..But then again, I don't know what BCU returns. Alcorn loses talent and coaching.

JSU and Hampton was evenly matched. JSU just took the L but it was a close game.

Every evenly matched game has went to the MEAC. I picked Grambling and Jackson State to win their challenge games, and the all came up short. As much as people hate to hear it, the MEAC is just more physical and the results always show.

The SWAC needs to win a meaningful challenge game badly. I think Alcorn will have a lot to prove and bring their A game to the table. I am looking forward to it.
