Alcorn State vs Southern: Game Updates - 4:00pm CT

Alcorn has played like crap this game. Too many penalties are keeping SU in the ballgame. Need a remind Alcornites what happened the last time we had a 14 point lead going into the Halftime. The game is not over until 4th Qtr 0:00. Alcorn needs to tighten up. That dumb penalty to end the half is going to push Alcorn back. I would not be surprised if SU tried an onside kick to start the 2nd Half.

Dumb Stupid Penalties. Alcorn is playing horribly and needs to improve if they want ANY CHANCE to win this game.

Alcorn is safe. Unless Howard or Hayes plays QB in the second half. Shorts will not be a threat to throw the ball. I don't think we have any passes to a WR yet. I would shocked. And I say this as a diehard Jag. I would be shocked if we come back. The 2013 Jags with Dray I can see. But our QBs are young and have not experienced that big comeback win. Plus our coaching today is really suspect with their decision making.

That's how I feel anytime the G-Men are leading the Jags. You have to build a comfortable lead vs Southern because they are just a traditional momentum program.

Would not matter to me if we are up 50-0 or an opponent is 0-10. I believe in not taking ANY Opponent for granted. The Jimmy Johnson "Tough Love" is the only way Alcorn wins. Penalties get you beat and we have been playing horribly.

The Pressure is on Kaiss' ass this 2nd Half. We cannot stop scoring. We need to score 60 points to win this game.

Like I said in the other thread SU won't be able to stop Alcorn's rushing attack. Ragsdale is NFL ready. Gibbs going down was a blessing in disguise he didn't need to be out trying to throw the ball all over the place.

Not throwing him under bus. No one said get rid of him. Just saying he is trying to do too much by being the DC. He needs to let someone else do that. But today, the offense has failed him too with turnovers and spotty playcalling. So Germany and Berry aint excused either. It is what it is. Alcorn is in SU's head and until they decide to do something about it. It will remain that way. Kind of like how Peyton Manning always had Florida in his head and never beat them.
 



Wow. I never thought I would see Southern fans giving up after being down by 2 TD's. The Jags are not out of this game just yet. I agree with the folks who know that Odums is suspect as far as coaching decisions and that Hopson has his number. However, SU has talent and is still dangerous.

Grambling fans must loving this.
