Alcorn State vs Jackson State Game Updates: 2:00pm CT

Alcorn set a record yesterday. Alcorn largest margin of victory was 29 points. Yesterday it was 35. I am not the one to smack JSU especially since my dad has been a season ticket holder for Jackson St. for well over 20 years and is the president for Jackson St. Alumni chapter in Vicksburg/Warren County. Hendrick is going to live or die by his assistants. He needs to hire him a defensive coordinator with experience. The defense they ran against Alcorn didn’t work. You don’t run man against teams with receivers that are a threat. Special teams need to be fixed as well. Offense wasn’t too bad except they need to fixed that offense line. Jones is not a bad quarterback he reminds me of John Gibbs at Alcorn. Alcorn just got a line to protect him. Also what happened to Jackson st field. They used to have the best field in the SWAC

Bruh weve lost games ALL YEAR because all Stokes knows how to do is play man. No decent head coach would continue to allow his assistant to lose games like that (at least 3 games could of been won by playing zone). We went from one of the best defenses in the conference to literally the worst right above TSU with the same guys we had last year. He was asked to change his staff. Jones will be good. I wish they would of started him more games as he came into his own and is still a freshman with a high ceiling. As far as the field this was the last game of the season. Every other game it has been on point so somebody said fck it and only treated the end zones lol

I smell a petition coming...lol.. I don't know WHO is gonna go but we will find out before December is over.. I think All of the Alumni can see what the problem is but nobody wants to really say anything or draw anymore attention to JSU and its coaching problems especially with this being our 3rd coach in 6 years. I really felt like things were about to turn around after that 3 game win streak and then things went right back to the way they were.

We have hired bad coaches from Harold Jackson to Tony Hughes to John Hendricks. We have consistently hired coaches with no winning record as a head coach. A good head coach is only as good as assistants and none of our head coaches have hired a successful staff. Im not sure how many years are on Hendricks contract but it must not be many because I hear that he is supposed to meet with Ashley Robinson in a few days concerning contract extensions. I'm wondering will Robinson give him the boot or will he keep Hendricks on and force him to make changes to his staff...

Fixed it.
I told them awhile back they gotta bow at the feet of Comegy so he can show some mercy and lift "the curse" ..until yall do right by Comegy his wrath will never end! Yall let Lickety Split and The Queen fire Comegy more than likely cause he was obese when the state of Mississippi is the most obese state in the U.S. ..Santeria spirits don't like petty bs lol

Even if JSU wanted to hire Comegy back the question is would he WANT to come back. Also the fact that his years at Valley as head coach were not successful with turning their football program around and thats another reason why they probably wont have him back at JSU.

but like Braveman97 said yall still gotta make amends with Comegy an issue a formal apology for doing him so evil.

I am not going to say stat Hendrick is not the man. I do feel that if he doesn't fix his staff and OL that he will be out the door. It will also not look good to future candidates that JSU have been through 3 head coaches in 6 years.

Its not JSU that owes Rick Comegy an apology its the incompetent administration that we were under with Carolyn Myers and Vivian Fuller who are both no longer at JSU along with a few others who were let go. Back in 2013 when Rick Comegy was fired none of the alumni saw that coming! JSU is under a totally new leadership. Now President Bynum could choose to issue him an apology but again they were not the ones who made the mistakes. The ones who made the mistakes have already been fired and let go. Its not that we are having bad luck its just the mistakes made under Carolyn Myers have left us with some bad after affects. You have to remember the firing of Rick Comegy and the hiring of both Harold Jackson and Tony Hughes were both under her presidency along with Vivian Fuller. This was really the first year that we have been able to start putting things back together under President Bynum and I really feel that Coach Hendricks was kept on and given the head coach position for 2 reasons. Number 1 to keep JSU out of the press about us firing 3 coaches and keeping Henricks on would make it seem like we had some consistency even if he was not the best person for the job. Number 2 to give the players some consistency. Having 3 coaches in 6 years is a LOT. Once we finally make some good hires I feel things will turn around whether its the head coach or the assistants.
