Alcorn State vs Grambling results





I didn't attend the game, but I'm hearing that the offense is much better. We have good receivers, but we have a new quarterback. He is a walk on. Once he gets into the swing of things, he'll be aight. The defense is about the same as last year...so I've heard.
 
The Braves looked "Good" with a Redshirt Freshman QB. Grambling's Special Teams were instrumental in the G-Men Win. Shanklin is the real deal. Good Transfer:

However, JT still makes some dumb calls. I.E, 4th Quarter, minutes left, Grambling kick off out of bounds, instead of taking the ball on the 35 (I think) he elected to have GRambling re-kick and we took it on the 10.
 
Yeah, I questioned the re-kick decision. GSU's kick coverage had been good all nite. From the 35, one long pass completion would have made things interesting.

I don't think GSU was ever afraid. However, we realized late that the game wasn't over just becuz we thought so. Not taking away from Alcorn's grit and fight, but Grambling let up against a proud program.

This game should help the GMEN gain their focus for A&M. Some adjustments will be made for sure, constant improvement and refinement is what makes us GREAT. Look for a tremendous showing this week!

I just returned from the game and I must say I enjoyed it.

I see a ray of hope for the Braves.Believe me,Alcorn will not go 0-11 this year.If we can get any kind of ground attack going,the offense will be hell to stop.I knew McKenzie would do a good job.
Carrie will only get better.The kid has an arm on him(Air III ?).

I enjoyed the Grambling fans that I had a chance to talk to before the game.Good luck the rest of the way.

IN REALITY THERE WAS ABOUT 14,000 AT THE GAME.
 
If Grambling is the best in the SWAC the Braves will see them again. The G-men took advantage of some first game mistakes which good teams are suppose to do. I like what I saw out of the quarterback. He can throw the ball. The CCC might be for the SWAC East.
 



Yea I enjoyed the game... Our recievers are tight to death watch out for #5 Gilmore this dude was killing I think he had two TD's, & #84 don't know his name of course My BRUH #6 Holbert. QB did good, couldn't ask for much more from a walk on, 1st college game.

Alcorn special teams suck though. Gsu wasn't allowing no kinda ground game...they front four are on point. Alcorn Defense kinda shaky but made some key stops when needed.

Whoever that NUMBER 6 is from GRAM is the truth...this guy is Barry Sanders at wide out. He beat us...with that put return & those out standing rac yards on 3rd down.

Alcorn showed they wanna win & that there is hope for the future

GSU showed they are the SWAC Champs by ending the game with that TD at the end. Very entertaining game I must say. I haven't seen no life like that in awhile.
