And at one point, MSU was ranked in the top five in the nation. Heck, AAMU can't rate in the top five in the SWAC.
 



HBCUs just don't want to admit that we have a Culture Problem. We can build all the nice things we want to but if that Culture And Mentality doesn't change, "looking cool" will amount to NOTHING!!!!

Football is all about having a group of individuals work together in unison toward achieving a positive goal they BELIEVE they can achieve.

We don't have Instant Replay in the SWAC except for Televised games so why bother arguing over a video board? The referee could be wrong as right and the video board shows it but if the game is not televised, what will the SWAC Office do? Basically nothing.

They would have been ranked there without Hughes? How does that help you? Hughes will have the same meager resources that other SWAC schools have, and his options will be just as limited. Watch what happens when roll into Jackson.

Dnt waste your time with A & Who. They just happy we even entertaining them. Hell the people hear in Mississippi know how big Hughes contributed to MSU. A&M couldn't even get a water boy from University of Alabama nor Auburn to come to there program who contributes nothing to the SWAC. The only thing A&M contributes to the SWAC is a lot of hills and hell prarie view even doing a better job at that than A&M. Atleast pvam has a nice stadium on theres ( wink wink ). A&M Doesn't have enough football championships, basketball, baseball, bowling golf, tennis championships, NFL players and let's not even mention fans in the SWAC to even have a serious convo with JSU about use being small time. It's amazing how the only time A&M even breathed JSU is within these last two years. Before that NOTHING. A&M had a loosing season, beat a weak JSU and he bragging about that. That says a lot about how big time JSU must be and he doesn't even realize it. Alcorn except my apologies for detouring away from you all thread. Again Congrats alcorn.

I wasn't 110% sure about Comegy. The bottom line is that JSU is behind Hughes. THAT speaks volumes! I recall the very first time Bell met the alumni. They had to ask us to be nice..
 
Looking at screen sizes, Alcorn screen size (65X25) would rankIowa #78 in FBS bigger than USM and also 10 BCS schools.

It would also rank 5th in FCS behind Tennessee St., South Dakota St., Northern Iowa, and Sam Houston St.
