Alcorn looking for Aug 30, 2014 game


I think a money game, a FCS game and a D-2 home game is a good combination. I wouldn't schedule but 1 D-2 or FBS game per season though...
 



Nothing wrong with a tune up game Alcorn especially since you can get an extra home game scheduled. Makes much sense to me

You think Alcorn wants a FCS opponent? Why would you think that? They want a NAIA or D2 and I bet they would hang up the phone on Delta State, Valdosta, etc... They want a school like Benedict at best.
 
Once again, Hopson said this when he took the job and is trying to sticking to his plan. An easy home win to start the season and then a road money game. We go to USM on Sept 6. What he does after that depends on what's available or how he feels. The 1st 2 follow what he would like to do every year.

You will be updated on our schedule today. Ya'll would be wise to play your game on Labor day weekend either that Sunday or Monday. Nobody is going out there anyway and that will allow your fans to go to a real BCF game on that Saturday. :D

Most years, you only gonna have those two. So basically, the only 1-AA teams Alcorn will ever play are the 9 SWAC teams. Oooooooooooooook. I don't know how I would feel about that as an alum.
 
Its amazing that a MS State can play a JSU and Ohio State plays FAMU then its ok in the eyes of Black folks, however when the black folks do it then its all wrong, we are our own worst enemy.

I don't agree with us playing teams like MS State.

However, I don't see a game like JSU-Delta State or Alabama State vs Tuskegee as the same thing. However, Alcorn vs Wagner is poo! I went to Georgia Tech and I hate when we schedule lower division games. There are enough Troy State's and UABs in the world if we really need a game.

Huh?? Your logic is seriously flawed. First off, both schools are D-1. On the other hand, Wagner and Edward Waters are not even D-2 and they're barely NAIA. It's not the same, not even close....unless you consider Alcorn as being closer to D-2 or NAIA than D-1.

I would have to say that JSU alum are the best at twisting a comment. I believe you know exactly what I'm saying. Believe me MS State playing JSU the outcome would be basically the same as Alcorn playing a D2 or NAIA opponent. Not a close game.
