Alcorn Halftime Show at the Soul Bowl...

I just knew I would log on this morning to see a thread on this. Was I seeing things on TV or did one of Alcorn's band directors run out and tackle the male twirler during Alcorns halftime show on Saturday. To my suprise, Alcorn had a featured male twirler, because this is a signiture piece of halftime show for the Boom.

But as the twirler came out in his purple and gold tights with the chest out (you get the picture), out of no where came someone who appeared to have a band director's uniform on and tackled him. This was on LIVE TV and they quickly showed the band from another camera angle after this happened.

Will someone tell me that I was seeing things, or did this really happen? It could have been one too many Budwisers. Regardless, this had to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Embarassing for Black college football, but funny.

The twirler was suspended over something that happened last week...

I guess he decided he was going to show up and show out ANYWAYS.
I turned around and I saw him and I was thinking to myself...I guess they him back...I turned around again and all I saw was him running and twirling and Mr. J running after him...then i realized...they ain't let that BLEEP back!!!!

We have no idea where in the world he came from tho...it was an awful mess...funny, yet a mess...

Yes it was real....

At first I was thinking it was one of JSU's twirlers trying to hijack ASU's twirlers show and that's why he-she got tackled.

Dayum, what's up with these Mississippi school and these GAY ARSE twirllers?

First Jackie SU now the Corn..... :smh:

Unless you want a school to have a descrimination case on them, I think we better leave that along. You can't denie a student from twirling, or anything else. They also get scholorship money!

I was thinking the same thing. It's a shame... :shame:

Well you Mississippi school go head on and keep using your lil' ole Twirllers then! :shame:

Twirl it Twan.... Twirl it .....

Well I don't like the male twirler thing. Especially now since one of my friends told me that her son was copying the male twirler from jackson state when he was ( Well you know what he was doing) and I would go crazy if I saw my little boy doing that ( if I had a son)!!!

There have to be ways around this mess. If we continue this trend you will have ni@@as trying out for GG's, Dancing Dolls, and all the rest. That's ignant to say the least.

You're right and that's not cool...... :shame: :shame:. If this isn't stopped and some type of standard set, there's no telling where this will go.

This has to be stopped.

Eventually someone will try to be brave enough to try out for Golden girls or Dancing dolls. And their arugement will be simple in their case in which they will say, "If they are female drum majors why can't their be male majorettes." just wait and see give it some more years as the Gay community continue to elevate and expand as society continue to accept the male twilers.

It may be next year or 10 years but somebody is going to cross that bridge!!!!

The story is the twirler was deemed too flamboyant the week before against AAMU, and was told to tone his act down. He then hit the director with the baton and was kicked out of the band. As you can, he showed up and performed anyway. It was hilarious how that Director chased him around throw Alcorn's drill formations. The Director finally got Jackson Police Dept. officers to get him off the field.

It was one of the few things we had to smile about.

dang since I opened it up with media player can't get it to open on real player. I am not good with computers.
