GO HOME!! GO HOME!! GO HOME!! THAT'S how we took over Mumfy....AGAIN!!:lol::lol:

Two opposing fans with a beagle dog can take over Mumford.
All you have to do is go up on them by one point and those clowns will be as quiet as a church congregation during the prayer.

Speak for yourself.
Last year JSU went to SU and still had a top 5 finish in FCS for home attendance at 23,166 AVERAGE per home game. JSU has finished in the top 5 the last 4 years in FCS home attendance and have not dropped out of the top 10 since Comegy took over as Head Coach.

Southern was way down at #23 with only 13,679 counting the fact that JSU traveled to SU in 2011 and taking in the fact they expanded Mumford. Alcorn was not even on the map. JSU home attendance has went up at least 3,000 every year since Comegy took over from BELLs low in 2006 of only around 8,000 per game:lol:

Mumfy was kinda quiet that day. Not the usual enthusiastic SU crowd, perhaps because they already knew what the outcome would be, but like you said....that's a story for another.

That game was sluggish in the beginning and it was a hot and humid evening. Had nothing to due with no pride. Both teams just kept going back and forth. Not really an exciting game. It was more a grind out game with a lot of missed opportunities on both sides. Hard to be cheering hard when it is like that. Your fan base is the same way. They don't make any noise until yall are up comfortably or trying to win on a last drive. That corner was quiet too, because yall came down to Mumford thinking it was going to be a blowout. Neither band was into it either. Just sluggish all the way around.

You know better than that. And the last time you came down to Mumford was during the rowdy days so you know 2 fans aint never been able to take over Mumford. All that go home isht don't mean nothing. I think JSU folks think it some type of dagger to the heart of SU fans with that chant. LOL. Hell most of them old heads don't even know what folks are saying. SU fan is mad about a loss no matter what is said or chanted. Aint no school ever took over Mumford. No school........ever..........Beating your chest in the corner of Mumford with a couple of thousand fans aint a take over. LOL. Now if JSU rolled 10K deep and made it seem like a home game in Mumford like SU fans have done in Jackson during the Pete run. Then that is a takeover. Still remember the C-L articles back then talking about how SU fans took over Memorial. Again that has never happened in Mumford. JSU might have won games in Mumford. But there has never been a takeover. Doing silly stuff don't count. Hell every fanbase have a couple of clowns who act out in opposing stadiums. That aint a takeover.

Hey JR, since you've been to Alcorn lately and witnessed their traffic cops, do you think their officials will be able to handle 15-20,000 folks flooding Lorman from Jackson? You're just about the only Jag I consider to be halfway honest, along with one or two more, this is why I posed this question to you.

Dude, we forced james b*ll out. We have school pride. We don't stand still for mediocrity and we will make our displeasure known by withholding our dollars.
Unlike some schools, we don't sit on our hands when our team is losing and just accept it. That's how we was raised.

And as far as this traveling thing is concerned, believe what you want to believe. All I know is that over the last 10 out of 11 years, who has lead the SWAC in attendance? Don't bother, we already know.

Yall didn't force James Bell out. You fired him with a few games left on his contract. Not like dude had another year or years left. You basically just put him out his misery before the season was over which by time you fired him, the season was over. How many games did he coach in 2005 before yall finally gave him the axe?

Come on JR, I might have to take back my compliment.:emlaugh: JSU fans and The BOOM had that stadium quiet and stunned to silence.

Why would JSU roll 10,000 deep to Mumford when there are only 1,000 seats to be had at best when we play down there? What we gonna do..........Sit in the parking lot and watch out for vandels? :noidea:

And Jackson has never been a "home game" for SU.
Ya'll had a lot of fans during PETES run but don't believe that 5,000,000 SU fan stuff. People are alway talking that dry outdated crap about how they not gonna set foot in "Klan memorial" but when JSU fans make a decision to let ya'll fill your own stadium, people got problems.

We don't care because people in JACKSON do what hometown people are supposed to do.......... BUY A TICKET and actually go to the game. The only time SU has filled MUMFORD in the last decade is when JSU come down.

And please SU fans.
I know you know better JR but to you other SU fans, don't even try to compare Memorial with Mumford, asking when have we filled Memorial. If Memorial was the size of all the other SWAC stadiums, 25,000, we would have a sellout or overflowing crowds every week.

I actually expect JSU fans will probably overun Alcorn this year. I don't know if JSU fans will come in those numbers. But it all depends. If JSU and Alcorn are doing really well this year. That game is going to be a nightmare in Lorman. Especially if Alcorn fans feel like their new coach is on the right track. This game could potentially be too crowded to get into too. Now if Alcorn is doing really bad, then neither fan base is going to be that interested. If JSU is doing bad and Alcorn is doing bad. I think Alcorn fans will show up still if they think they will beat JSU. Since that is the last game of the season, there are a lot of variables that could help or hurt the attendance. I actually hope Alcorn does well and JSU does well so that game can be an old fashioned JSU vs Alcorn game on the reservation. I actually like down there. Hard to get in and out. But Alcorn fans are very cool. At least with SU they are. We have a good time with them win or lose.

:emlaugh:

It would be good though if Alcorn had some type of system where they could handle large crowds. I don't think their President thought this all out, but he'll wish he had come gameday.

He only did this because he kept hearing alums complain..but after he gets inconvenienced on Nov 17th, he will be happy to go back to Jackson.

In 97 and 99. Both those games in Jackson had SU fans all over the place. At least 25K. You know that. It was talked about for a long time. During that 90s run. SU fans traveled like a mofo.

I hate to break it to you JR but note the part in bold print. Leaving your job before your contract is out is the same as being forced out.

Nah Jayrob. That game was sluggish. JSU fans were not rowdy at all that game until the very end. It was not as exciting as that 4th quarter in Jackson the year before that when both teams were scoring at will. Even halftime was boring as hell by both bands last year. Just not an intense game in the stands. I am sure the players on the field were playing at a high level. But that game was dragging for some reason. Now I didn't mind it. Because I don't like those high scoring shootouts. I actually enjoyed the game last year except for the outcome.

Exactly, there were JSU fans on SUs campus trying to buy tickets on game day but they were sold out. I think SU needs to expand that stadium so that they can give us our own side.

After the game, we might kick over some grills and burn some Alcorn flags too.

Nah man. Dude wasn't coming back anyway. JSU folks knew he was gone at the end of the season. Forced out would be after season one. LOL. All yall did was basically pay him to stay home for the rest of the season. He knew he was done after he got blasted by PB I believe. The team had quit on him and the fans were already gone. It was no choice but for you guys to get rid of him. But your fans didn't come back until 06. Season was already academic by time you let ole smiley go.

Hard to get in and out. But Alcorn fans are very cool. At least with SU they are. We have a good time with them win or lose.

Well, I won't expect that from them. They hate JSU. We are like the slave master to them. They actually kinda like ya'll and look forward to ya'll coming out there. They won't be nice to us AT ALL! Did I say, they HATE JSU. Can't you feel the hate they have for us on here? They hate us like we hate ya'll..

Common sense would tell you to buy your tickets for that game in advance. lol.

The Boom got sent back to Lynch Street with a bruised ego.

Dude, the Juke and SU fans were still shook up from that embarassing impromptu playing of Gangsta B*tch just before they lost again to Mighty JSU.
That moment in time had to be one of the MOST embarassing moments in HBCU band history. Mr. Jackson learned that the hard way. Don't play Gangsta B before the buzzer sounds. LOL!!
