Alcorn Braves...what Happened To.......

MACHIAVELLI

Chairman/C.E.O.
Johnnie Cooks. I have an article from Feb 10, 2001 from the Natchez Democrat. It states that.

Former Mississippi State stae Johnnie Cooks, who was selected No. 2 overall in 1982 NFL draft, will become the next Athletic director at Alcorn State.
Cooks, 42, was hired as special assistant to the athletic director for fundraising and marketing, and will take over for interim AD Marino Casem, The Vicksburg Post reported in Tuesday's editions.
Cooks was a three-time all SEC linebacker for the Bulldogs. He was drafted by the Baltimore Colts and played there six seasons.
He also played three seasons with the New Yorks Giants, and was a member of the 1990 Super bowl Championship Team.
Alcorn State has been with out a full-time AD since 1995. Cooks was the assistant AD of administration at Mississippi State for seven years, then left after the 1999 football season to be a legislative liaison for Gov. Ronnie Musgrove.

Cooks is no longer at the Corn. Everything doesn't always turn out the way the media says it will.
