Oh well.....this has been the best day of my life---Annie Mae gets punked out on their homecoming, and suCKS just proved how horrible they really are! :jump:

The best QB in the world, be realistic. Don't get me wrong I Love SU but I don't think Southern's coaches use there players to the best advantage. JC's good, but he can't do what there trying to make him do. Yes we're a passing team, but when we haven't gotten in that grove yet we're sleeping on the running game and it's killing us. There's a bunch of first downs we would have made in this game if we weren't trying to play JC like Richard and TR Ricks.

Bottom line....yall are just not that good this year. Too many inexperienced lineman on both sides of the ball 11 new starters --to be effective. That last hit JC hit when he fumbled was crucial. :shame:

Oh well......looks like suCKS really does SUCK this year! How ironic is that? :lmao: :lmao:

Sucks is rather strong! This is not the Smack page, but I agree with you on the football analysis. Even not that good we're still better than you. Had to toss out some loyalty points.
 
Both qb's had 5 td's.
SU's o-line let jc get hit too many times. Defense can't tackle and didn't make plays when needed. Bama St. played the best. Congrats.

Agreed. It was a heck of a game ASU. You played well. We should have played better, but until the coaching staff gets it's blinders off and learn how to work with what you got. That ain't goin' to happen.

Congratulations Alabama State. You deserved it!

You just pissed cause your boyfriend ain't getting no time in the backfiield as a RB and JC is showing he is better than your cousin was and he's only a redshirt sophmore.

It was a good game for both teams although there are some weaknesses from both teams I noticed. ASU played a great game, better than I seen with the MEAC/SWAC challenge. Southern, with the lesser experience players (not trying to justify the loss) played a good game. The Hornets played like a good team should play. Southern could not capitalize on good opportunities and it hurt us in the end.
The way Southern is playing should cause some alarm for the rest of the SWAC. ASU is definitely going back to the SWAC championship game.

man...a game like this shows how much we've lost with those two hurricanes in terms of preparation and building some momentum...this learnin-on-the-fly isht is for the birds..especially on defense

congrats Bama St....and my brother watched the game in Miami (all late with that news)..and he told me the broadcast was great!!!!

Now if only we can get rid of the 9-game mandate....

Nobody said JC couldn't play. He's not ready to play like their trying to make him. Anybody that's been watching can see that.

JC played one hell of a game.........The offensive line must get better and protect him. Stupid penalties also need to be corrected.

So I guess this aint' being ready not counting how many hits he's been taking.

Game 1 - 312 yards - 1 TD
Game 2 - 282 yards - 2 TD's
Game 3 - 302 yards - 5 TD's

Absolutely, the offensive line was abysmal at best. JC played great and the running game was better, but ASU just played a complete game. Jackson definitely has vaulted himself into contention for the Payton Award and justified his preseason POTY selection.

The coaching staff put the team in some bad situations. They looked like a team that haven't played many games. But, we will get better as the season progess. Great job, JAGS.

JC is the freaking, TRUTH!! :bowdown:
 
For a QB with no protection, JC played one hell of a game. Unfortunately, we couldn't stop the folks on the other side.
