The SWAC's Alabama State University meets the MEAC's Florida A & M University in the inaugural Detroit Football Classic on August 30, 2003. Please check out website, www.detroitfootballclassic.com for more information. This will be the first meeting between the two schools since 1990. GO HORNETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
This can't be true. Only Gram can start a classic. LOL

LC vs Billy Joe "one mo 'gin". Didn't LC wipe the GaDome with Joe the last time they met? I know LC is mad that he is playing a quality opponent. This might take the place of the JSU-FAMU matchup.

Mach, this has to be a bad deal. Why else would they invite ASU? When is the last time ASU was invited to a classic outside of the state of AL? FAMU is probably getting all of the money.

MH, rest assured that ASU was one of the LAST schools that they called. This is your first time being invited to a classic in what?? 7 or 8 years??

I know. You were supposed to play Jackson State up there in 1997 after we pulled out of that joke of a Classic in Bham. Money was not right then and according to Mach, it still ain't right now. This is still a HUGE step for your program. I think you all need to let your fans know now because you know that they will be clueless about how to travel to a game. Inform them about stuff like airlines, hotel reservations, advance tickets, etc....

This is truly going to be an experience for the Hornets.
