Starting the game so close to pending inclement weather shows a lack of care for the students, staff and fans.

Baseball games get moved up all of the time to get the game in before weather gets bad. What made this game different?

Perhaps media slotting (televised revenue) may have impacted?

Were they letting fans into the stadium? Not sure if they started letting fans back into any of their games yet.
And like others have said they may have only had that timeslot to use for even a ESPN3 broadcast. Their broadcasters are doing games from home and may not have been available for any other slot.

Was reported that UAPB would allow only 3K people, which includes the band members.
