Alabama State head coach Donald Hill-Eley will host the inaugural HBCU Coaches Symposium beginning August 10 at the Houston J. Markham Football Complex, featuring hall of fame coaches from HBCU football past.

"The HBCU Symposium is a situation where we get to bring in some legends from the HBCU ranks," Eley said. "These are guys that have won HBCU national championships and undefeated seasons. To have all those guys in town at one time around our practice, our program and our city is an honor. I am looking forward to sitting around and talking about who beat who, and get some good ol' wisdom from the group."

Among those that will participate include Houston Markham, Marino Casem, Pete Richardson, Jerome Harper, Bill Hayes, Joe Taylor, W.C. Gorden and Willie Jeffries.

The article is not just about Richardson. Sheesh, y'all really feeling a certain way because they didn't mention Southern?

Do you know of Pete Richardson because of his days at WSSU? Heck they even mentioned that Casemworked at SU but they didn't mention that Pete did? LOL

I read the article. It's actually more of a press release but I digress. To give a Bio of Pete Richardson and not mention his tenure at the place where he won over one hundred games is disingenuous and small minded.

A simple sentence saying Richardson won championships at Winston-Salem and Southern during his career would’ve sufficed.

Did you not see where they mentioned Richardson winning coach of the year 5 times in the SWAC? If you mad that they didn't mention SU under Pete's name then just say so.

The elephant has left the building. Great job ASU putting this together.
