Uhhhhhhh, we are talking about 2014 and ALABAMA STATE!!!

But he was making a point in saying that the best team doesn't necessarily always win the SWAC tournament. He used SU in 2004 as an example of that. Some of ya'll really be going out of your way to cause problems when there are none.

I saw that there ace shut them Down 11-1 I believe. Game 2 was reserved and Game 3 was a Mixture.
In the Playoffs, you going to face 1,2,3..
 
....See, a squat rack at Alabama State is the same as a squat rack at the U. The problem with HBCUs is internal and it deals with the mindset.

Unfortunately, we all know football is king. When we win against a quality (yes, quality) FBS in football, we will then be rolling. Until then, baseball and basketball wins like this will not have much notice.

Yeah but in sports like baseball, upsets happen. SU beat LSU before, TXSU(with a losing record) beat Rice some years ago, and we just saw FAMU beat Florida last week. When you combine good hitting, error-free play, and good pitching, any team will have a chance to win. Errors and pitching is what usually kills our teams in these games.

Again no shade at Bama St...

But for discussion sake this is a baseball regular season game where anything can happen..Bama St has quality talent too..its not to far off for the top baseball teams in the SWAC to be able to hang with the bigger baseball teams from other conferences..This isnt like football or basketball where the SWAC is far off talent from the rest of the world! Also MIAMI made 4 errors, anybody can beat a team that commits 4 errors.

That's their problem. We took advantage of their mistakes no matter if it were 1, 4, or 40 error(s). It was no guarantee that they would win if they had 0 errors. We were just the better team on that day.

04 was the year we won the tournament; we were well rounded with hitters and had an excellent #1 (Strickland) and #2 (Daniels) starting pitchers and a relief pitcher that would either threw a 70 mph fastball that no one could hit or it wouldn't even reach the plate. :lol:

Thats why Bama St and Pine Bluff are the best teams this year in the SWAC.
