Alabama State Football face Auburn in 2021

USM won't be scheduling Alcorn or Jackson St. no time soon until Hopson can get that talent level back to where it need to be. After USM had to cheat to beat Alcorn I knew their talent was low for a mid-major.

Auburn officials have confirmed the Montgomery Advertiser has confirmed ASU will receive a $530,000 payment for the 2021 game. According to the 2018 game contract obtained by the Montgomery Advertiser, Alabama State will receive $515,000 for the 2018 game, which is nearly what it reportedly spent on football scholarships ($565,820) in its 2013-14 operating budget.

ASU will also have the opportunity to have its marching band, The Mighty Marching Hornets, perform at Jordan-Hare Stadium in 2018 for the first time. Before the 2018 matchup, Auburn has agreed to provide 500 complimentary tickets for ASU along with holding 400 band complimentary tickets and 2,500 tickets on consignment.

Sounds like a good deal...Hell Bama State can darn near walk to Auburn....lol

It's good to see SEC schools playing fellow HBCUS,

STILL Waiting on LSU vs SU, out of all the SWAC VS SEC,

I think LSU and SU are probably the closes distance between one another, but yet world's apart.

Auburn is not afraid to do business with in-state schools and HBCUs. AAMU played them in 2012 and we play them again this November.

Alabama on the other hand, does not believe in doing business with anyone inside the state.

Auburn will continue to play A&M...we also have a strong academic relationship with auburn in regards to Agriculture

Auburn University was once called Auburn A&M.

Ain't happening. I would be very, very, very surprised if we ever played LSU in football. It's not a desirable match-up for us, and I just think LSU doesn't want to play an HBCU.

Now I do wish LSU would stop running from our men's and women's basketball teams and schedule us. Johnny Jones and Nikki Caldwell know that would be the knockout blow for them if they lost. lol

There is no point in us playing USM.

Why not? All of us will need to up our game with all of the non conference games coming up and a weak USM team is a good measuring stick with low overhead and a decent payday. Hell they had to steal the game from Alcorn then turned around and hired their coach..lol

We have 100 FCS measuring sticks...

Don't be shocked if the schedule Alcorn sooner than you think.

They favored to win CUSA this year and is trying to join the AAC

They will not be getting in the AAC and they won't win the CUSA.. who has them favored to win it? I mean, it is the weakest conference in the US but I still don't see USM winning it... THEY SHOULD... They have the most history and the best following of the lowly group of schools but they still have a way to go...

I hope they can get into the AAC tho because that is the only thing that can save that program. Its a shame that the schools they were beating the fugg out of in CUSA left them behind.

USM's only losses last year came to a ranked Western Kentucky, Washington, Nebraska, Miss State and Marshall. They only lost one game in conference and finished first in the west. This dude is talking as if they went 1-10. lol @ the only thing that can save that program. Damn, they must've been demoted to FCS or something recently and no one said anything. The year prior to last they only won 3 games... i'd say they're doing fine.
