Alabama state still didnt really use crowell like they could have... he could have rushed for 200 agaist us easily and would have goten more out the passing game

Our defensive line play, especially against the run has taken a dip. True Freshman Trae Ford played well, but our Gap Control is not good AT ALL. That needs to be addressed... immediately!

based on coaches comments early on he is still getting into his best shape and digesting the playbook. those 2 things will limit your ability to be effective. each week he seems to be stepping up though.
also keep in mind he is running behind an offensive line that is starting 2 true freshman and lost a starter with a knee b/f the season even began.

What's disappointing is that both Bethune and Valley rushed the ball effectively against Bama State... for some reason we can't run the ball effectively anymore. I remember a stretch when you could count on us to do 3 things well...Stop the run, run the ball, and WIN AT HOME!!!!
