From what I was told, by one of the band members TSU will not be in attendance. They just found out last night that the person who was going to pick up the bill didn't pay for anything. There is no way we will pick up 30,000 by tomorrow. Man I hope they figure something out.

First off a big F U to TxSU for tellin me they were comin before I made that 3 hour trip up there only to find out they wouldn't be there.
Battle of the bands pretty much went like this....Bethune Cookman came, they saw, and they CONQUERED!!!! The HS bands were boring...all except for JOJ...they were actually pretty good.
Miles went on first....they looked to be smaller than last year..but they still had a powerful sound..didnt sound sloppy either. Only downfall was...they didn't do a drill...they just kinda drilled in place and then went into dance formation.:shame: I'd give their performance a 3.5 out of 5.
And then came Bethune Cookman....let me just say this....they should've made BCU go last because after their performance their was just no way in hell anyone else was going to win over the crowd. Their sound was on point...no overblowing, no hanging over.....drill was perfect...dance routine was on point. I'm a SWAC fan but I can't even front...Bethune Cookman got off the bus...wrecked shop...got right back on the bus and headed back to Daytona. Perfect 5 out of 5 score from me.
Bama State came on next... was it just me or were they a lot smaller at the BOTB than they were in those youtube clips against Alcorn? Anyway...Bama State sounded GOOD... I dont think anyone can call them the sousaphone band anymore because their blend is on point and the Stingettes were...wow... They did secret garden for their ballad...sounded good. The drill was ok...and as usual the honeybees got a big crowd response. Dance routine was ok...it was kind of hard to even gauge how good their dance routine was because BCU pretty much drained the crowd. I'd give their performance a 4 out 5.
AAMU went on last....all I know was I saw them march on and after that I was headed to my car so I can't really say what they did.
I guess it wouldn't really be fair for me to rank the bands but from what I saw...

Also let me send a MAJOR shoutout to PsiSnake for the tailgate hospitality. Snake, JAZZ, Mike, Mr Swac, Xhale, Yvette, and JAZZ's wife fed me until I damn near exploded and kept the drinks comin. I'm gonna be weak as hell at work tomorrow. Oh well i'm off to bed.
Oh yea and shout out to those girls from TxSO in the hotel room across from mine with that bottle of grey goose.

ALL the bands did a great job - - - - - - - - don't know about AAMU...... did not wanna see this band - - - - so I left as they were marching on the field.
But overall the BOTB was nice - - - - GREAT JOB !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you should edit your thread...cause Bama state didnt pull any sneak isht...they set up shop at the dog house..............and i have the tape to prove it....a&m juz got caught slipping at home.....

....so the promoter ONLY singled out TxSU, and didn't come through on his end of the deal. But yet he paid for EVERYBODY else......BCC(hotel, food, bus); paid for Miles(food, bus); Bama State(food, bus); and all of the high school band food & busses. Now do that sound right if money was an issue?
Dont know why TxSU staff put out that information to they folks, but that aint how it went down. How do I know? Because the promoters are my LB's; and I worked closely with them on this event, from start to finish.

From what I heard, it was the buses. Your BD wanted to ride on some 2007 limos. :lol: Hell, I've seen what Texas Southern rides on to games and they definately could've road on those certified buses, just like BC did from Daytona Beach!
That was some bad business, right there. I'm glad I didn't pay for the rooms, food, and buses for somebody to back out and shaft me. But, I'm sure that the next time soimeone does business like this, they will get an ironclad contract established.
That was just jacked up, though. :shame:

I don't think that was the case...you might wanna have your homeboys show you the check.....because as of Wed., TSU didn't have it. A bus is a bus...I have never heard of someone complain about that.:smh: Have them show u the check, if they have one:uhoh:
