Wilson is a firggin idiot!!!!!!!! Our guys deserve Better! His 2nd half prevent game plan prevented TSU from winning.
 
I ain't gonna lie, y'all took us to the wire TxSU. :tup: Good game. Glad to see that y'all have made a come up. The West will definately be interesting. It seems as if every team is contending this year. GSU and SU watch out.

I agree, that's why it makes me so mad. Last year we lost games by a very close margin again and again. When games are played this close and you continue to come out on the loosing end you have to look @ the coaching. Someone please help me understand why TSU's offense went so conservative in the second half? Excluding the last 2 min drive. Wilson does this time and time again. For long periods of time in games he just tries to run and that's it.

I think that it is more important to him that his son gets a chance carry the ball than to win!!

When I found out his son was on the team, I told everone then it would come back to bite us.
 



We need Nic Luke back... Tamar can run the ball... but he is use to sharing time with Luke.... he isnt a a #1 back. Hopefully this week off will give Luke time to heal. Our offense has struggled every since hes been out.
 
Agree. I was saying to myself during those situations we were in the red zone. Particularly when Kelcy threw the INT in the end zone. Normally under those conditions with Nic in the game we would have POUNDED the isht out of TxSU's defense with a 1st and goal.

Tamar did good for tonight. I know he had over 100 yards running. Waiting on the stats to come through. He was killing TxSU on the left side, but we needed that punch up the middle tonight. Trevis O'Neal was suffice enough at times.

Tamar was running that rock tonight. His problem is, he doesn't know how to sit down when he is on the sideline. In the 3rd and 4th quarter he was breathing hard as hell. I had to yell at him to make him sit down. As usual I was on the sideline. But we have four good running backas and some of the fastest receivers that we have had in a long time with good hands. TSU ran the ball on us when we would take Baldwin out of the game. When he was in the game, they would pass everytime. Our DBs learned a very big lesson tonight. I think what they learned will help them throughout the season. They are fast, but they did a few things that jeopardized this game.

I talk more on this in the PRivate forum. But, trust me. This team we have has the makings of a great team. They just need to get it going in the 1st half and we will be alright. They start out too slow. But, I think coach Jones saw what needs to change tonight. Atleast I hope he did...

Houston, Tex. -

The record seems to be skipping each week for Alabama A&M. For the fourth straight game, AAMU was flat an ineffective throughout the first half and needed a comeback in the second half to win. The script played out Saturday as A&M moved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the SWAC with a hard fought 19-14 nailbiting victory over Texas Southern.

More details to come Sunday after the team returns to Huntsville.

TSU summary:

The team we have has the makings of a great team. They just need to keep it going for the full 4 quarters and we will be alright. They go through a slump in each game. But, coach wilson knows this and does nothing to change it. For long stretches of games TSU becomes 1 dementional run, run, run, punt. I wonder if the RB being his son has anything to do with it?

In the first half like in other games this season the D was killing. Then with a lead wilson went to his bill parcells (sp) impersination, protect the lead or lets just keep it close. Well when you have a good defense and no depth you have to protect them. Limit the number of plays they are on the field. You do not throw them out there to win games. A tired Defense will kill you everytime. I now wilson see's this every one else does. But he never changes the game plan. That is why he needs to go. He has shown no ability to make adjustments in game. You can never win if you can not adjust to game situations.
 
What is the most effective way to limit the defense being on the field. In most cases it is by running the football. We will have to come up with some receivers that can catch the football. We had too many dropped passes, including the one in the end zone that would have won the game. Our run blocking has to get better. Alabama A.M. took our strong suit away from us. I think Harmon did a great job. This was his 2nd start in 3years.

The defense did not play with their usual tenacity on last night.


If Harmon continues to play this well, Wilson should be able to open up the play book. Harmon really impressed me on last night.

I really think we have been conservative out of necessity. This might change with Harmon stepping up. The key to Harmon being successful is that the offensive line has to give him time to throw.

I am proud of our team and we will win the West.

Key words in most cases. In this case they were taking our strength away so you continue to do what you had success doing early in the game. Mixing the offense up. Throwing and running. How do you build a young QB's confidence? Let him throw high % passes like they were doing in the first half. Not by hand off, hand off, hand off and punt.

I am very proud of the the young men who make the TSU fightning Tigers football team. I believe they are doing a good job with the game plans their leadership is providing.

Funny thing is I think stevie wonder wilson will have a good season and save his job. Looks he has an angel b/c the swac west may fall in his lap.

Although, still left to be seen what *ram will bring to SWAC play.
