common sense should tell you if Spady is running the Pistol he has/will recruit the players to run it lol

also we will beat A&T ..yall just need to be worried about losing to FAMU lol

We have the players to run an uptemo offense very well. Jones recruited athletes that could push a defense, but he just never played offensive football. This coach intends to do just that. the offense line players have slimed down to become more mobile for that style and they are motivated for the game. Hint of advice: Don't bet against Bulldogs on a mission.

We already know what we want to do...We will run the pistol offense. The only question is how well we can do it in this first game. My feeling is that we will do it well enough to make the SWAC record 3-7.

It's not that easy.. you will see. I already told you to use the Earnest Wilson example at Hampton. You can also use JSU as an example when we had John Shannon as our OC. It took WEEKS for us to our WRs and QBs on the same page. You cant put a square peg into a round hole. Some things don't fit. I don't like the SWAC being sorry so I do hope ya'll win. Also, if Broadway is running a lot zone coverages, this game gonna get REAL ugly!

I hate Townes is gone.. LOL He was always our 12th man... especially when we were good at passing.

Why would you ever waste time trying to put a square peg into a round hole? It would be more effective to make the peg round or the hole square. That is our thinking. I know it is original thinking--thinking out side the box. But just get used to it. Nine tenths of what you see from us will be stuff you have never seen before. The receivers and qbs worked together last year, this spring, this summer and this fall...They will be in sync. Stay tuned.

The All-State qb we recruited from Johnson High to run the pistol is playing at safety now. That is how much confidence the coach has in the other qbs.

Just don't miss him when he plays against JSU this year. As a matter of fact, don't even be late for the start of the game. I don't want you to miss anything.

Btw, no one could run that stuff Jones was trying to do. It was too predictable and too simplistic. teams will actually have to play to beat us now. Don't you miss anything, either.

Jaymason Lee wasn't that horrible he beat SU in OT before the refs got involved...Totten has been working hard with Lee to correct his mistakes but the arm is still there

you speak of Townes but he was too predictable especially in the secondary when we played JSU and anyone who liked to pass the whole game ....now we have Coach Johnson the same guy who coached Robert Mathis his 1st stint here....our Defense will be the same as last year but even better!

this team knows they will be the underdogs in every game we play due to ignorance but that is fine...it will just make it even funnier if we have a good season :lol:

We tiger fans thank you for pulling off those close victories. Reese might still be our coach if you hadn't. Instead we got Reed who got us being the best HBCU program for the 2nd time in 3 years. The other year we were the 2nd best team. Thanks AAMU :tup: I know you wish you could switch teams with us this year. Then you could talk confident shat to JSU and ASU. Instead you taking, but deep down inside you ready for a long year.

also didnt you lose 44-0 to Eastern Kentucky and 51-10 to Eastern Illinois? These arent no BCS teams.... Why are you so proud of last year?

You are welcome...And when you feel the need to be free of Reed, just give us a call and offer enough of a guarantee. The pistol will be an entertaining fit for a cozy little stadium like Hale.

Ummmmmmm. I thought it was simple.

2012 We had the best team beating both BCU and bout reps in the SCG.
2013 BCU had the best team.
2014 We have the best team.

Let's see. Starting a freshmen at QB, we were the second best team in the conference(that sent 3 teams to the playoffs all winning a game). Going to the playoffs for the first time since 1999, winning a playoff game for first time since coach reed was the starting middle linebacker in 84. And we return most of our players from last years team. The ones we lost have been replaced with FBS transfers. ¿Why not be proud?

I can confidently say we would be the s@#t out of AAMU this year. Don't believe me just watch what we do to ASU and JSU.

Maybe he will do something this year but from what i saw last year he was horrible.
Townes was susceptible to the pass but still produced some nice defenses for yall.

Nobody is worried about tn state. You got about 7 interceptions in a game and only beat us by 10 points against our second string QB. That shows just how NOT good yall were. Decent squad but you guys were definitely not world beaters. Better QB play and that game would of been completely different. Lets see how things play out this year.
