Man C'mon two series? They had at least six to eight drop wide open passes to keep drives going and at least two that they could have scored or at least be deep in their territory.

Those would have made they game take a totally different look, But you can't miss that many opportunities and expect a defense to hold up against that type of size and no huddle.
 



After the half, I didn't even bother to watch. I was never excited about this game from the jump even if they were the top FCS team. The game is what it is. I'm just ready for the season to move on...
 
We got it handed to us. We didn't take advantage of opportunities early and the offense put our defense in bad field position, which wore us down. Yes, they killed us in the trenches. The are 4 or 5 deep in every position. The quality depth is the difference in the SWAC and other big time fcs programs.
 
Coastal also has big time financial booster who can make things happen..wish Howard wouldn't have backed out on A&M..

Uh, a game has 4 quarters....all of their success was in their first two drives...in the first quarter. After that Coastal put up 30 points in one quarter. At best they would've had 7 or 14. Outcome would've still been ugly.

Yes, their coach is a millionaire and they put a lot of money in that program. They just started football in 2003, so that says a lot about their program.

Stop taking the cash for one game at CC for one. Make then do a return game to Normal. They need some games to fill their sched for next season anyway.

That's an exaggeration that all their success was on their first two drives. But as you can see my observation wasn't about their success but their miss opportunities and how it cause their defense to wear down. It certainly had nothing to do with their defense overwhelming them at that point

The only reason we played them was Howard backed out of a game with us. CC payed us to come play them, and Howard payed us for backing out. It was a win-win because we made close to 300K. We wouldn't have made that if we played Howard in Huntsville today. It is raining and cold. Would have been less then 3K at the game.
 
yeah we got a check from Cincy Howard and Coastal Carolina!

I liked this game because it once again shows how we need better line play & depth in this conference to compete with top tier FCS competition.....until we get that the results when we play these games will be the same!

True assessment, but must of us on this board is in denial and don't want to hear the truth!
 
This is a money game, FCS or not. Coastal Carolina is probably gonna be the next Oregon in 5-8 years once they move to FBS.
