LeBron James and Steph Curry aren't doing a good job selling pricey sneakers. Neither is Michael Jordan, for that matter.
And that's terrible news for Nike, Under Armour and Adidas.

Foot Locker (FL), which sells shoes from all three of the kings of kicks, reported disastrous results on Friday morning. Earnings and sales badly missed Wall Street's forecasts.

My prayers have been answered!!!

That's a good thing.

They have always been a poor people status symbol anyway. "Poor people status symbol" ... that should be an oxymore, but among us it isn't.

Now, if only we could get people to invest that money in something that grows in value ....

Bruh....I know a black couple who owns a Bentley....yet, they found the smallest house to buy in a area with poor resale...SMH. I'm like damn you could have built the house you wanted. My wife and I said we are going to build the one we want now.

I forgot you uppity. LOL...folks who parents didn't invest in high end shoes when they were younger call all shoes that are not dress shoes tennis shoes. LOL

That ain't got shit to do with being uppity referring to something by its proper name. Lol

Expensive shoes period and Jordans. Remember I said "poor" people. Not the black kids in places like Pearland, Katy, and Plano lol
Brah, that went right over my head. But you shole is right. It's not poor people it's people with poor priorities. Y'all don't jump me now. I know it ain't a 100% scenario. But I have had tenants that will buy their kids jordan's and pay rent late late fee's and all.

We get what is being said by both of you.

We got white boys who will buy them up too and in more than one pair. In some cases they get those shoes cheaper overseas and shipped here.

Yet who do you see in those lines skipping school to get them? It's mainly us and the funny thing is I don't see kids nor teens wearing the Jordans at school. Heck not even adults-so you got somebody buying them and not wearing them.

It's past time for shoe prices to go down. Heck it's funny to see Puffy, Jay Z and the rest with all these over priced clothing-yet no one is buying them. Macys kept Sean John & Rocha Wear on clearance and even when stores were closing no one wanted that stuff.

Times are changing, and I am definitely buying put contracts on Nike, Foot Locker, Under Armor and Retailers in general. These are easy slam dunk ways to make money short term in the stock market right now.
