I agree with you. Both bands did great for the most part. SU was bringing it! GSU was bringing it!
The only low mark for SU was the soloist on the old school number; it was not her best performance, that is for sure.
And like an Apollo crowd, the crowd gave her and SU the booooos. But hey, this can and does happen.
As for Gram, the only thing that was a disgrace from them was the introduction of a "gospel" song and then
the lead dancer starts popping and gyrating and straight up "pole dancing". I was just glad that the other dancers
did not follow her lead. I wish y'all could have seen the looks on folks faces....:smh:
Again though, great battle! GSU looked and sounded a lot better than in years past.
SU, well, you know, they did what they do. And for the record, and not that I need this validation.......
the "real time" scoring from the crowd showed that SU was the favorite band among the voters last night.
Oh well, time to get back out into the city......"I'll Holla"!
