After 4 1/2 decades without a championship it's time for Valley to seriously consider DII

Since 1990 they've only accumulated five winning seasons out of twenty-eight for a record of 87-191.
That puts them at around a .316 winning percentage.

Really what are they? In all honesty it doesn't matter because none of those sports pay the bill or more accurately creates a bill. This isn't the Big East or the ACC where basketball is King or the next best thing to it.

OK. "Drop" to FCS (MSU, Vandy and Kentucky). Vandy has never won the SEC in football. MSU last won in like 1940-something.

You're still trying to make this just about winning a title in football. So what if they've never won a football title we aren't the sec and all of those schools you just mention are competitive and an asset to their conference both financially and educationally at the highest level. Not to mention they've won national titles or have in other sports that brings huge attention and money to the conference.

It's apples and oranges

I'm not sure what you mean by the sport not creating a bill, considering that some degree of travel is required for all sports in any program. However, based on what they (as well as some of our conference basketball teams) have done, early season basketball (money) games are producing revenue.

I have to disagree with you on that. I doubt that any other sports cost more for housing and travel than football.

Great but at the end of the day the football program is the face of the athletic dept. that puts the biggest burden on it. When was the last time you heard of a school dropping basketball , baseball or soccer because of the cost? Either way the record speaks for itself and that isn't debatable

This is bitterdog that we are talking about. They like to see their own font on the screen and feel good about themselves. F common sense and logic such as what you posted which anyone without some type of TP like disdain for Valley can see

No disrespect to PV but if they weren't kicked out for fielding non-scholarship athletes for a while then the talk of anyone suggesting anyone to drop down to D2 is ludicrous. If your school has pretty much been under APR sanctions for a decade fielding a lot of ineligible teams bringing shame to the conference you have no ground to stand on starting a thread about anyone needing to drop down. That's that one trick pony mindset that I get on people about on Facebook

Clearly your to immature and uneducated on the subject to have this conversation so you may want to put me on ignore until you can grow up.

If you knew anything or actually had some sort of rational thinking process you would know that 1. PV was working with non-shorlarship players primarily when they had re-organized their program after voluntarily dropping it for a year. 2. I didn't mention anything about kicking Valley out.

And all the while in the process fielding competitive team , winning championships and making substantial contributions to the conference both financially and nationally . So if we can do it under those conditions surely Valley can under a re-organization . PV and UAPB did.
