Abortion billboards stir racial debate

Some of these folks shouldn't have kids. That's why they chose not to have them. We dog them out for having kids, being on welfare, putting them in orphan homes. Yet, we dog them out for knowing they want take of the kids and solve the problem. Is that not confusing?
 



Also let me clear this up, I don't believe in abortion. I believe in that if lay down and conceive, you should take care of it. I also know that this is not a perfect world and sometimes this is the best solution for these folks.

The sad part is black folks believe this non-sense about blacks. I recall back in the day when AIDS hit the media at first it was a white male homosexual V D. But, all of a sudden when Rock Hudson died from AIDS “overnight†AIDS was shifted from white homosexual to black and drugs, than from a green monkey in Africa.

AIDS is killing more whites than blacks, but they call it health related complications for whits and AIDS for blacks.

Practically, everything printed that’s negative black are leading the pack. But when it comes to things are positive, whites are ahead. I know several white female daughters that was pregnant three years ago – when you ask their mama “where is your grand baby†it’s like magic “grand baby, none of my children has kids†I am thinking surely, not because she had an abortion.

oh, you are preaching to the choir dear...I KNOW the game, and I know better. ;) yes, we as blacks have lots of improvements to make within our communities, but we are not as bad as the media makes us out to be. I also know this will never change...still frustrating as heck, though.
 
Doc, I keep preaching that to folks all the time. True facts are that we as a people are far ahead of where we have ever been. More are in college, living in better conditions, better jobs and better health than ever before. Folks like to just believe anything others say.

I know for a fact there are more whites on welfare than blacks, but blacks are alwas on the front page. If white women was honest, the public would be surprised on the number of "white" children born out of wedlock and how many "white" men abandon their children.

I hate this knd of crap, because people around the world look at blacks as being ignorant and and hopeless.

The other part is how some blacks agree with everything said by “the manâ€￾ I see little snotty nose European kids playing in the street “and that’s okâ€￾ but when you see black kids doing the same thing, they are out looking for trouble. I try to teach the teens in Sunday school, stay away from those European kids, because if you keep hanging around them you are going to get into trouble sooner or later.

Black kids driving down the street, they are trouble makers and hauled off to jail. Now white kids doing the same thing, they are joy riding and sent home. Then someone like “RBâ€￾ talk about a Christian Country “Nâ€￾ give me a break.

Arizona Congressman Trent Franks told blogger Mike Stark that African Americans were much better off under slavery.
In this country, we had slavery for God knows how long. And now we look back on it and we say "How brave were they? What was the matter with them? You know, I can't believe, you know, four million slaves. This is incredible." And we're right, we're right. We should look back on that with criticism. It is a crushing mark on America's soul. And yet today, half of all black children are aborted. Half of all black children are aborted. Far more of the African American community is being devastated by the policies of today than were being devastated by the policies of slavery. And I think, What does it take to get us to wake up?

Neither side of the issue really hit home for me as far as making a point. To me...after listening to both sides...it felt like they were just trying to make a statement but didn't dig deep enough for their cause to really push me over the edge.

For the ones supporting the billboard...maybe b/c I don't see abortion as a big issue in the Black community that I feel like this is what needs to be addressed. I feel like this is the "easy" way to address the Black community...let's tackle the REAL issues.

For the ones against it...the lady that made the statement about spacing the children out!! :lol: Yeah...she's repeating something she heard b/c that should NEVER be the reason for an abortion. Really?!?! Doesn't her office hand out FREE condoms?! So that reason is real...ignorant! But she's helping women in a time of need...kind of scary!! maybe she was nervous!!

But what was very alarming...if it's true (hope I get the numbers right, I watched the clip last night). Approximatly 38,000 abortions performed in Georgia...21,000 of those abortions performed on African American women!!! But of course...you do have to take into consideration what Dr. H said...white women get theirs done by personal physicians who label them as some other "surgery"!
