AAMU Band Blew JSU Away In Fifth Quarter

That is interesting..... as just about everyone at the game said A&M was better. Even bama state folks who have physical reactions to saying anything positive about A&M agreed. IJS

Bama St? I'd listen to a rock before anyone from that school about a band.

Anywho, I'm sure all your fans and folk on your side would say that being yall love and support yalls band or atleast I'd hope so lol.

for a 300 piece band why do they sound so muffled? is it all those bass drums and the skins they use or what?

A&M was much cleaner in sound...plus everyone at the game was talking about jsu's poor choice of song selection in the 5th

Panty Dropper? No Juice by Lil Boosie was a better song choice? Not to mention yall made it sound like a ole school church hymn.

Atleast y'all did sound good attempting it lol.

As far as us, Hollinger did seem bored directing tbh. Prob didn't care to be there knowing him lol.

4-2 in favor of the boom
Aamu last two selections

You cannot speak for everyone at the game. Just say the folks that you were with because that definitely wasn't the reaction across the field. Aamu sounds nice but thats where it ends (being a collegiate band that's their job). In person the Boom does not sound muffled. Only round aamu took was on"love holiday". Panty dropper had potential the build up was good and the execution but it never quite delivered. There's no climax in aamu's arrangements but they sound nice. The Hills, Groove Me, and Nice & Slow were good. Didn't have a problem with the Boom's selection as I' m glad they aren't repeating the same tunes in the 5th...

I actually talked to people from both sides. That is the beauty of living in Huntsville, I don't have to worry about what time I leave the stadium. There were JSU folks that kicked it well after the game was over. JSU was not the JSU that was expected with 300+, it is that simple. You sounded bad with tempo issues, issues with cut off, and then since you decided to "march" (aka walk) into the game late and did not get into the stands until the 1st quarter was basically over, you barely played during the game. I wonder what excuses you have about being late, when we allowed your band to get dressed at the wellness center which is about a mile from the stadium.

So you're claiming a W off of a tempo issue on one song in the 5th and us being late to the football game? Ok bro, if it sooths your little soul you can have it. I swear yall AAMU folk get off on anything dealing wit JSU. You'd think it was another rivalry how yall be acting about every little thing. If only we actually cared enough lol.

Some folks actually do think Jacksonville State whenever we say JSU... I personally speak up on behalf of JSU as they are an HBCU.

I keep telling them that they have a major identity crisis up here cause they don't even exist.....they think i'm being funny when I say it but people hear JSU and think gamecocks lol ....I got tired of trying to explain to people the difference

Jackson St alums who do live here turn red hot when people always mistake them for Jacksonville st and them being #1 in the OVC all the time doesn't help one bit

It's natural for people to think Jacksonville State if you just say JSU but don't act like they don't know who JSU is... now, NOBODY in Jackson knows who AAMU is at all.

Also, for these clips, there are some bands I just won't waste my time watching. AAMU is one of em. Without watching, I know they didn't do better than the BOOM and if they did, no one cares because overall, they will never have the program we do ... just like in football. They will never reach our level. I sat across from the BOOM last weekend and there is no way AAMU can compete with us.

Is the glass half full or half empty? People see and hear what they want to hear. ASU has a large band, I'm quite sure AAMU will blow them away this weekend, must be Magic, AAMU is pulling wabbits out of a hat?

TRU, I never get upset about the error or assumption. It's simply a matter of geographical location and lack of exposure. I moved to Huntsville in 1997 and honestly had not heard of Alabama A&M before 1996 when I took my house hunting trip to the Rocket City. I knew Oakwood was here but not A&M and that's on me. Frat is doing a great job with the band over here and if he ever gets a consistent group of kids, the MM&W will make some noise in the SWAC.

But there is one think I do know for sure, you've never mistaken Jackson State for the Gamecocks!

Blank, you didn't talk to me. I was around long after the game. I love the band people, they love their bands and no one will ever be better than their band. But the non-band people can care less. Both bands played and both bands did their thing. I didn't care for the MM&W halftime show, weak at best with absolutely no excitement. The Boom basically performed the same show we saw the week before in Jackson. For some strange reason, The Boom doesn't give their all when they come to Huntsville. Our chapter raised cane about the band not wanting to come here by putting pressure on the President to make sure they travel here.

Remember the year the MM&W thought they put on a great show in Jackson and the fans blew you right off the field.

Nobody up here knows Jackson state exist TP it's just reality no act! that profile pic doesn't help either because if you showed that to 9/10 residents up here they will think Jax st since red & white are the school colors ...I know it hurts bruh but forreal ..if you say JSU people are going to automatically think gamecocks and nothing else! even if you say "no I mean Jackson state" they still will add "ville" to the end ...I've seen jsu alums try to get Jackson state stuff made up here and the seller will send them some jsu gamecock stuff back ..so basically people not knowing who we are down there doesn't matter when yall don't even exist up here and people think yall are Jacksonville St the PWI 45 mins away from Huntsville

what is yall level in football though? lol nevermind this is the band board

Man why dobyall argue with those country bumpkins in Sippi. Bottom line is JSU is weak for there size. You can say all the wanna be glory stuff but your bottom is weak, and your sound is not good for your size. Besides y'all marched in the 2000's all y'all suck. Seriously.

You must be mad there ain't no "wanna be glory" stuff you can say about your band? Yall have always had one of the most irrelevant bands around anyway so it doesn't even matter when you marched. It must really suck being from AAMU.

Regardless, LuvDaBoom.

Who the heck from Alabama can call ANYONE country? I've always wondered about that lol.
