A question about this All-American (HS) Bowl


My son played in the Under Armour 8th grade All American game last year. The practices and the 1 on 1's were more important than the actual game to the coaches.

He had a blast and got a lot of equipment. I just turned it into a family vacation.

Funny thing about the 8th graders is half of them ended up being held back anyway.

*whistling* That's a growing trend... That's why you have a 21-year old FRESHMAN by the name of Calvin Ridley on the Alabama football team...
 
Kids these days are 15 turning 16 when they walk into high school. I was 12 turning 13 when I was in the 9th grade. Huge disadvantage.
 
John Curtis made a living off of parents "voluntarily" holding their kids back in the 8th grade......it was a big dust up about it, but it was all legal.
