After watching him in the first scrimmage @ last fall camp, you could see had the potential to be special as a true Freshman.

I still don't know how we got him.... he was a BEAST in high school....

Sometimes recruiting at a smaller school is like stepping to a chick whom other guys think are out of their league. Other players in the game will hate and discourage the potential. However, If your game and confidence is on point, you can win her.

Mack Lesson #23 :)

Seriously though, I feel like AAMU will win another surprise or two out of this upcoming recruiting class. One positive thing about Spady, his staff is a little more aggressive with recruiting. Something that we never were under Coach Jones. Maybe things will finally play out this season (shrugging shoulders).

Sometimes recruiting comes down to you shooting your shot

He will be the best back to ever come out of A&M!!!!

Go Bulldogs!

I can't think of another running back that has come through A&M with Bentley's vision while running the ball.

Coaches at bigger schools were too focused on his competition instead of evaluating his abilities. Aint NO good defenses at Crossville, Arab and Boaz. Recruiting is a popularity contest. Remember how Desmond Johnson was rated a 2 star and had FCS offers but wasn't even the best DB on the team (Baker)?

Im glad this worked out in our favor.

Don't get too comfortable...Some larger program may try to get him to transfer now that he has performed well at the college level. Apparently that is a growing trend.

He has a long way to go before he can be considered in the class of Oliver Ross, Ronnie Coleman, Wayne Mosley and Reginald Gipson as the best to come out of A&M.
