you don't have to ask.. but during that time JSU is 3-2 vs one team I know.. so worry about that...

Really dude? We put ourselves in a "low" twice. If we had hired Comegy when he was BEGGING for the job in 2003 and if we had hired Hughes in 2014 when he first wanted the job, you would probably be like 2-15 vs JSU right now.

We never begged Jenkins. You all will never believe it BUT the nut cases on the committee REALLY wanted OMJ. Some people in Jackson tried to get OMJ every time the coaching search opened up. They happened to get enough of his supporters on the committee with money to get it done this time. I don't understand it but..... that's why Hughes withdrew his name. They were NOT going to pick him. Just like there was NO chance Comegy was going to get the JSU job in 2003 regardless of the fact the he was the hottest commodity in BCF at the time.
 
In fact, there was no one else going to get the JSU job this time.... we have not had a real coaching search in Jackson since probably pre 1950. LOL Did you even see a list of candidates this time for the JSU job?

NONE of those are ifs... you all can't beat JSU when we are winning. Comegy won at JSU and so will Hughes. So your three **** wins would be GONE. Also, Hughes II would have cleaned ya'll clock the last two years. If we had hired Comegy in 2003, AAMU would have needed the running clock, not us Can you imagine Comegy at JSU pre-APR? Can you imagine Comegy with Kent? We already had good talent back then but imagine how Comegy would have taken that talent to the next level. It wouldn't have been fair. We have botched three coaching searches in the last 20 years but we still have been one of the top programs in BCF. John Shannon was supposed to get the job over Hughes in 1999 but... politics.....
