A long lost BOOM tradition is officially back

And as for Liddle taking us back to the original, walking was never original Boom style. The did mo skating than marching.
That's the era when the Su folks started calling us Jskate lol! And dammit, they were skating their asses off!!

When I got to the Boom in 83 we were swing and sway. Taylor was no where around. When he got there he made no modification to it. So how can you say he put a stamp on it. Any real swing and sway know what I mean when I say Plums! Plums! Plums! That shit is real killer marching

No need to get all riled up fella, lol! Go back and read what I said. I said swing and sway been around, plume action and all, however, it did get a little more exagerrated as time went on. No different than old Drummajors and new ones. The do some of the same moves but it looks somewhat different as it has been refined and evolved. Same with J-Settes. And yep, a lot of older alums complained, just like today, about the marching style differences, there just wasn't no internet back then. I'm talking folks under Davis. When Jimmie James was just on staff, lol. Before the Boom even had the nickname Boom. A lot of them didn't like it. They honestly called it country. That's the era Liddell came from and likely why he tried to phase it out.

But overall, I prefer the swing and sway style. And we all agree marching got worse and worse under Liddell, particularly, after Pop Duplessis retired. Taylor improved it greatly over the past thee years, and hopefully Little will continue to build on it.
