Your thoughts??????
You don't think that extra day off with the game being on Sunday would help? It's not a bad idea, but families are used to going to N.O. for Thanksgiving. It will be hard to change that. The classic may not draw as many fans on Labor Day.

Would be kinda akward at first, but I dont think it would be a bad idea.
Not a bad idea. Attendance might increase. The only concern I may have are the prices of hotels. Will they raise the prices that weekend?

Don't matter.
SU and Gram would stop playing football all-together before they changed the sacred day of the BC which was established in 1989.
Hmmm I dunno.... My gut says.. NO.. but my head says.. Something different may bring the fans back...

Ain't no gimmick bringing fans back, just SU having a winning season.

I think it would. It would be different. I would go.
How has SU, GSU or Bama St stopped the other 7 SWAC schools from going to the playoffs?![]()
Frat it was established way before 89. Where do you get that from? I played in 4 BC's and all but one was on Thanksgiving weekend which was because of the Dome schedule from my understanding. It was the first thing we learned as crabs when we got to the Jukebox. You will not be going home for Thanksgiving. LOL.
That question has been answered 1,000,000 times but as usual, people will act like they don't understand the big FCS picture. mentality and thinking still stuck in SWACworld.
One more time.
By showing the FCS National leaders that we can't even get the teams IN the conference all on the same page. Why in the heck would they go through the trouble of dealing with any of us when other conferences follow the guidlines of making their entire conferences playoff ready when the bids go out.
NOW................BACK TO TOPIC.

Actually that's may be 50% true. There has been talk at GSU especially with Cedric Glover the Mayor of Shreveport and a Grambling Alum as to the benefits of moving the Bayou Classic to Labor and what type of package Shreveport could offer. One of the keys is alternating the location between New Orleans and Shreveport to force the two cities to compete for pricing of hotels etc.....
