A 5-star recruit is worth

Its a lot of truth to is. Look at the Turn around of Schools like TCU, Louisville, etc. Just Signing better players increased hype of the program, which increases game day sales, which increase hype of Regular Students attending all the way down to buying gear.

TCU is a bad example. Gary Patterson built TCU on 3-star cats

once those 5-star hypes turn into busts their value falls and people disappear overnight

in TCU and Louisville, it wasn't about signing those players, it was those players being developed into a product worth watching...no one really knew Lamar Jackson prior to 2016 and no one was coming to see him UNTIL this season so he really had no value as a recruit....that's why the story is somewhat misleading as the true value is judged once those recruits play the season out

problem with a 5 star...if he's going to be redshirted then there's no value until he steps on the field as no one will buy a ticket to see a benchwarmer

a 5-star has quicker turnaround value to a low-level FBS program to where you can see the attendance gains/exposure overnight. They'll buy at LSU regardless most of the time

These five-star-recruits need to start going to an HBCU. Once they do, you will start seeing the SWAC and MEAC schools beating the SECs and ACCs.
