7 dead, 6 wounded in Chicago weekend violence

CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago authorities say seven people were killed and six wounded in gun violence in one day.

Among those killed Saturday was a 34-year-old man whose mother had already lost her three other children to shootings. Police say Ronnie Chambers, who was his mother's youngest child, was shot in the head while sitting in a car.

Police say two separate double-homicide shootings also occurred Saturday about 12 hours apart.

In one, a 16-year-old boy and a 32-year-old man were killed.

In another, two men were shot at a hamburger stand on the city's South Side. Police say the victims were roommates in their 40s.

You probably highligted the worst part of the story. :smh: He was targeted...which means 9 times out of 10 he wasn't living a straight life. Probably the same thing for his siblings that were killed as well. Live by the sword...
 



Instead of all they do is win, win , win, someone needs to make a rap song for Chi-town that says all they do is kill, kill, kill........
 
What do ya know, a city with one of the toughest gun laws in the country is likely going to lead the country in murders....again. They may as well just send the national guard in there or there may not be any black folk left in 10 years.

Problem with that is there are a lot of Chicago innocents that get hit by stray bullets.
Example.........That little girl that was selling candy in front of her house that got killed when these fools started a gun battle down the street. :smh:
 
Man you couldn't pay me to move to Chicago for 1 million a year. No way I could live there and not own a pistol.

I was thinking he was targeted. When you have that many in a family getting killed at seperate times, they are being targeted for the dirt they have done. Damn shame the level of violence we are seeing in our communities.

Cee, I understand my brother. Do you think those killed over the weekend did not own weapons? Owning a weapon did not save them. Hopelessness does not respect a pistol. The saturations of guns and hopelessness create chaos.
 
JC, you can never make me see your view. I am sorry. I live in reality. Street folks don't care about your view. They live for right now, not the next hour or next day. I well understand a bullet does not have a name on it, but a person firing that weapon has a name and knows your name.

Man, the klan been out of business in our community. We are self-check now....a self cleaning oven that is eradicating itself.....
 
What's even sadder is that it doesn't even upset us anymore. WE only give a damn on the few occasions a year when someone of another race kills one of us......then, we want to march and post all kind of memorial pictures of the victim on our facebook pages. Again......"Self-Check"......

Yeah you could Cee. For a 1 million a year you would not have to deal with that foolishness. Ask Oprah does she worry about getting jacked or shot in Chicago. LOL. You would then have to worry about Biff in a Black Trench Coat knocking on your door in the middle of summer. LOL. Also for that million a year that you are making. You can hire security.
 
I have never figured out why we elect and re-elect the same folks with the same message also. No way anyone in Chicago should have voted for Emanuel for Mayor. He has done nothing since being elected. Watch h get re-elected too.

Jesse, Al, Baisden and the rest know when/where to step. When 17 blacks were murdered in one w/e in then the murder capital of the world( Wash DC) in Feb 1990, my own eyes were finally opened to the new "open season" on blacks by....blacks.:read:

No disrespect to Trayvon and that case but I'm still locked into the 13 y/o black female who was found murdered next to my former car in DC at the hands of a 15 y/o black male. Jr high kids March 1990 :-(. Where was the outrage and media attention for that habitual type occurence?

It hasn't gotten any better in the DC metro. Gangs are killing kids now even more. There was a kid killed last week due to gang violence. Seems like every week I hear of another senseless death in the DC area. Baltimore is about the same also.
