49ers coaching decision

I saw that about Kiffin on the ESPN and NFL Network tickers. I do not think it would be a bad choice for the 49ers to get him even though I thought he should have ran Henry more against Ohio State. Alabama should have used Henry more against Oklahoma in the previous Sugar Bowl.

if he would have ran Henry, no way Ohio State wins.

i see what you are saying... but the pass that he called (in the 4th that resulted in the int)... wasnt a bad call... actually the man was open, Simms just underthew the ball. That pass was a sure td.

There were two guys open on that play.

I agree. He did interview with San Fran. He would have been a better choice to help Kap develop.

It was never reported that Pep interviewed with the 49ers.

Pep was my first choice. I was hoping they would keep the defensive staffs together, bring Pep in, keep this train rolling.
I guess Jed had a plan to blow this thing up.

#Bears hire former 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio for the same position in Chicago, per @JasonLaCanfora.

Dude yall about to hire Kubiak. Lol.

JR, that was Elways #1 pick from day one. The only other possible pick was Quinn but we couldn't wait around on that. We all know he is going to the A!
But I don't know why people are down on Kubiak.. and as for Manning.. that popcorn offense he got us running is not what we need. We going to back DENVER football. That's why Elway wanted Kubiak. Now the guy they supposedly want for DC is questionable but .... in the end, we are winners. All we do is win, win, win no matter what... :quiet:

.. and Adam Gase thinks someone is gonna hire him as OC when err body know Peyton ran the offense. He better try to get a college job.

I'm not leaving as a fan over bad hires. It's gone happen as long as human beings are in control!!. Thing is they made the Harbaugh Hire so they can hire a capable coach!!!

Cowboys fans gotta love this 49ers hire :emlaugh:

–Now to more conversation about the 49ers and Jim Tomsula…

Earlier today, Matt Maiocco reported that Tomsula’s salary is $3.5 M per year, which would put Tomsula not exactly at the bottom of the NFL ranks but very close to it, andwell below the $5M+ salary that Jim Harbaugh was getting from the 49ers.

That puts Tomsula either third or fourth from the bottom of the NFL list, which is where I would’ve guessed from the start.

The Yorks know that replacing Harbaugh with the lowest-paid coach in the league would’ve been embarrassing, but they very much want to keep as much money as possible for themselves.

Therefore: Third-from-the-bottom, just ahead of Jacksonville’s Gus Bradley and San Diego’s Mike McCoy and maybe ahead of Carolina’s Ron Rivera (though he recently received an extension).

But… with all their Levi’s Stadium riches and just coming from a coach who lifted this team to three recent NFC Championship Game trips… is that where the 49ers want to be?

And while everyone else is filling their staffs we have one coach and a football operations guy...SMH Harbaugh rubbed these cats the wrong way and us fans will pay for it..!!!

Can't blame Harbaugh. He is who he is and the Niners front office knew that. That organization just have become stingy and ownership has no clue. Eddie D needs to find a loop hole to get his team back.

He was so over the top they just want a yes man!!!!

I don't know how over the top he is. I certainly think he is a DIFFERENT type of personality. But so are a lot of coaches. Sounds the Niners organization would not be able to handle a Rex Ryan, Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll or any coach with some nutts.

I have always rooted for the Niners behind my Steelers. Always respected them and Joe Montana is my all time favorite Qb. Not to mention had some kinfolk (Lawrence Pillers) play for them. But they have not had good management since Eddie D got in trouble and had to give up his team to his sister and her dumb arse husband. I thought their son was running everything now and was supposed to be more like his Uncle than his parents. But it seems like he has allowed a GM to be the man over his coach. Sometimes you need your GM to stay in the background. Baltimore is a perfect example. Ozzie Newsome is a great GM. But he don't interfere with his coaches like that. When you got coaches with strong personalities or quirky like a Harbaugh, you have to make sure the GM is a real people person and can take a back seat to those guys and understand how to make them type of coaches feel like they are part of the decision making process.

Something is up in Santa Clara because it did not seem like folks wanted to stay out there either. Even when Jim left. They have become a cheap organization. Would not shock me to see some veterans get gone like Vernon Davis, Frank Gore, and Boldin. May even sacrifice some Defensive vets. Just not liking what I am seeing here. Shame too. Because they had the talent to win a SB.
