2025 Celebration Bowl - South Carolina State vs Prairie View A&M Game Thread: 11:00am CT

Same way they started the year except on the opposite end 🤦

But giving up 21 and then the offense - mainly the running game went dead

Coach Simmons is definitely wrong on this. My eyes don't lie, only white men do. They cannot be trusted. The Sun Belt competes with SWAC for the same recruits. So, the conference has motive. Even, FIU doesn't want FAMU and other SWAC schools to get more national attention than them.

I think he was there live but it's no competition- he destroyed Bethune

No one wants to give SCST credit for the adjustments they made at the half. Most of us don't know what that looks like because our teams are lacking in that area.

Well they lost their starting QB and bought in a backup that wasn't even ready to play.
You up 21-0 on a team with the backup-yeah some on that team are going to lighten up.

Nobody expected a backup to eat PV alive. 4 out of what 5 times that scored a TD?
The moment SCST scored-flags should have gone up for PV.

One coach KNEW what being down like that was like-because it was him last year.
The other LOST in a title game back to back previous years.

And while folks are going off on refs- lets have some of that heat for the announcers that act like PV had no history after ending that losing streak.

They went to 3 conference games and won 1. 14 winning seasons out of 27 since 1998 means nothing. It's bad enough when white folks do it-we don't need our folks doing it.

Totally agree - outside of Willie (who I thought would've figured it out in 2018 if he stayed) - every coach has won at PV and made it to a title game since 2015 but Jay did say Henry Frazier gets credit for reviving the program

Prairie View left Texas as the Mighty Panthers of 2025 and got to Atlanta and came out playing as the Atlanta Falcons 2017 super bowl team.....

People act like pv didn't try to score after the half. They scored 17 points. Pv couldn't stop SCSt after they made adjustments at halftime. They realized pv's secondary was the weak part of their defense and exploited it.

+ lack of DL pressure. 👀

PV football 2025 was not a good team. Improved, but overall not a good team. Good teams do not lose 4 games in a season.

There were too many obvious weaknesses and we are looking to fill those holes with quality incoming transfers.

Example, our RB room... we are ready for your RB starter "unnamed SWAC school." Tell mommy that certain stipulations regarding loyalty and buyin have to be met. lol 😁👀

They played a 2 QB system most of the season so the young man that came in wasn't totally raw.

Yep, it was known that he was the more running QB of the 2 and won some games for them. I'm sure he was gameplanned for but speed of game differs from scout team speed.

The bottom line is that PV is improved, not good. Good teams don't lose 4 games in one season and call themselves good. We still cannot hit remedial FGs at a high %age.

Did everyone catch that 6'7" TE in the corner of the endzone last play before "mister" decided it was best to run? 👀
