2024 Presidential Election

Refusing to actually prosecute Trump for treason, failing (more accurately refusing) to get Biden to withdraw a year ago, spending the last two months trying to appeal to Republicans (because that worked so well for Hillary), just an absolutely embarrassing and yet completely predictable performance. Much like 2016, I'm pretty sure they'll look in the mirror and learn nothing.

Russia, if you're listening: once again, a highly qualified female candidate has been defeated by Donald Trump.
What made Harris a "highly qualified candidate?" She didn't have to run in a primary, and the last time she did, she dropped out because of a lack of support.

You can't throw a candidate out there tied to an unpopular administration 4 months before an election and expect to win against a challenger like Trump.

The Democrats did this to themselves by refusing to hold a primary when most folks knew Biden was unfit to run for reelection.

I think part of the problem was Dems in congress were too short sighted in alot of the things that they ended up doing. Instead of waiting for Trump to make a major mistake, which did happen (more than once), they went for impeachment too soon twice. The keep running the same playbook and don't make changes for their outreach.

They waste money on DJs for the polls (at least in my state and district), where that money could of been better spent on other things. I lost my temper at a Dem outreach person because they kept putting a focus on DJs and turning voting into a party rather than making sure people was registered, inform about the issues both local and federal, and making sure they had a way to the polls.

I was disappoint in Dem Congressman from my district during a townhall meeting because he kept ingorning the issues that effected his district the most and was just gving can responses talking about unrelated issues. I was able to ask a question, about housing, and he just danced around the issue, and redirected about a bill that was not related to housing. I would say 90 percent of the questions was about housing and yet he kept talking about a bill that people was not asking about on the call. It was thing to give a quick summary about it, but just straight ignoring people's legitiement questions gave me the vibe that he just wanted us to shut up and vote for him and the Dems with no policy.

You are correct, as they thought fear mongering was going to be enough to carry VP Harris to victory and it did not work out.

And I'm sorry, I hate to say it..................I can't wait to see them suffer. Is that bad?
It's Trumpian, but beyond that, it's also a pretty good summation of why "Latino" isn't a useful designation. The people most likely to suffer under him aren't the same ones pulling the lever in his name. Like every other group of people who have historically leaned into white acceptance, white Latinos aren't any different, and those aren't the same people who will bear the brunt of Trump's policies (a lot of whom aren't even eligible to vote). Look at the countries a lot of them came from, and you'll easily understand why they've shifted to the right.

Just wait until they get rid of the healthcare bill. These trailer park and poor Latinos working under the table for scraps will understand that elections have consequences.

I agree. Especially when they cut these social programs.
And I do not feel sorry for them.
Man, you all are pissed this morning. At the end of the day, blame Joe Biden for appointing Merrick Garland as his AG and allowing him to slow walk prosecuting Trump for years. The world we woke up to this morning wouldn't have transpired without both of them.

You know what, I change my mind, they are not the blame they are complicit in what happened.

Bingo, glad to see you're back chiming in. I miss your perspective. I didn't always agree with it, but it was always thought provoking.

Putin is about to takeover Europe.....
The only useful thing the Republican party house did was pass a bill that Trump can't pull us out of NATO. If he crosses over into a NATO country we will have to fight and these folks who love him kids will come home in body bags. Elections matter

Ukraine is done
I don't think so. While I think the USA contribution will go down from previous levels, other countries will pick up some of the slack and I think it suits the USA objectives to have Russia bog down in the Ukraine like we was in Afghanistan. While Trump may look for a "deal", even he can't ignore the benefits of having Russia spending so much of their resources in Ukraine in an open ended conflict.

I think some of those folks are too far gone to give a damn. As long as they can avoid being sent to fight, it seems they are fine having other people die for their voting choices.

Now, I need all these folks who were bashing black men and claiming we were all going to vote for Trump to come to the floor and admit that we were never the problem. They talked so crazy about black men over the past few months.
