Beyond pathetic
You already know we have fickle "fans" who don't know what a PV football game is outside of LDC, SFC, and HC'ing. That's it for well in excess of 80+% of them. The "others" are there about campus just to do that silly shit - party and get high. smh

Well we don't cook the books like another school does but I honestly think there was about 7800 at the game. It was extremely hot all day and a heat advisery in effect especially for a 6:00pm start time.

Some of yall come on here with attendance excuses. I think you all need to just start over. If you only seat 15K people, there is no reason not to sell out every week. Are you a college or a High School.

Since you wanna be a HS, sell $10 tickets just to develop a culture and get people coming. Sell $50 season tickets just to BUILD a fan base. This is sad.

Charging 10 dollars isn’t going to help an attendance. You will get the same amount of folks and generate less revenue. People pay for what they want to see. These games wouldn’t sell out if tickets were free.

Shyt 😆 🤣 😂

Joke us all you want, attendance is an issue for a lot of teams and like Fiyah said, we don't cook our books and we don't have the best people counting, For reference if you think I'm lying lilly YT acu had 6,000 at their last game at home, these modern kids don't come to games. Attendance is better in towns where the town has buy in on the team and not much else to do

if you don't have 15K worth of fans you should just cancel the sport.

True story, when I had moved back to the Ville to attend Grad School, I was dating this sister from Florence, Mississippi. I was not full time in my profession just yet so on this weekend to get with her, I took the Greyhound to one of those smaller Mississippi towns where she was going to pick me up and together with her family, we all were going to attend JSU's Homecoming game later on that day. It could have been a bus station in one of those small towns like Meridian or something. The young adult couple that ran the bus station gave me warning that my peeps needed to pick me up soon because they were going to shut it down and around 1 or 2 and I can't stay there. I couldn't understand this but, my friend did pick me up in time. We all got ready and made it to JSU's homecoming against Grambling (Eddie Robinson's last season I think). It was definitely a festive occasion. Guess who was among the first peeps I recognized at the game. The couple that ran the bus station.

I learned firsthand that day that their spirit and loyalty among HBCUs is second to none in football (though Tuskegee's Homecoming football game will always the best to me).

Much respect to JSU for the support they've always given to their teams in attendance over the years.
